God Answers Prayer !

We need to remember to pray for those who are persecuted for the Gospels sake and who are in prison and being tortured and separated from their family’s for being a Christian and preaching the Gospel and standing up for Jesus. After all they are our brothers and sisters in Christ. “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.”  (Hebrews 13:3). “For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.” (Mark 3:35). Ask the Lord to pour out his spirit on them and give them the grace to go through their trials and be a witness even unto death. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” (Psalms 116:15). Persecution of Christians is greatly on the increase as things wind down in these End Times. “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” (Revelations 12:12). So, pray often for our brothers and sisters in bonds for the Gospel as being bound with them. God is on the Throne Forever and prayer changes things. Stand up for Jesus all ye Christians and VOTE as the forces of Darkness try and engulf America and the rest of the world. It is high time to wake up if you value your freedoms. Stand up for the truth. Pray for God’s people. Amen!  “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (II Timothy 3:12). If they arrested, you for being a Christian would they have enough evidence to convict you?

A CALL TO BATTLE. ATTACK !

We as Christians are at war against satan and his forces,and we have all been drafted in to serve in the Lord’s army as soon as you got saved. lt’s not like being in the armies of this world where you only serve for a time, but in the Lords army there is no discharge. You’re in for Life, lifers until the day God calls you home, and guess what, the war still goes on in the spirit world too.

“There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.”( Ecclesiastes 8:8). The Lord doesn’t want people to just use him as a fire escape,as many do, but to help reach the many lost souls that are about to fall off the cliff. lf you saw someone about to drive off a cliff and they didn’t even know it, you would surely try and stop them, right? Well that is what is happening spiritually.“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” (II Timothy 2: 3,4). “Put on the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”(Ephesians 6:11-18). You may lose a few battles, but you haven’t lost the war, the war is not over until every soul is won. Jesus said, “the gates of Hell shall not prevail against his CHURCH.” (Matthew 16:18) THIS IS NOT A PICTURE OF HIS CHURCH HIDING BEHIND A WALLED FORTRESS WHILE THE ENEMY ATTACKS, BUT IT IS A PICTURE OF THE CHURCH ATTACKING THE VERY GATES OF HELL ITSELF!!! The trumpet is sounding the attack is on, pick up your sword which is The Word of God, and ATTACK ! ATTACK ! ATTACK !   Come on lets roll ! ! ! ! !

HOW STRONG IS YOUR FOUNDATION?

Someone told me the other day, ” Why don’t you pray and hear from the Lord and get some new things  to teach us about?” (Lilly) Well, my answer to that statement is, Have you got everything down pat and solid of what has already been taught, in this Web Site www.answersintheword.com? It will not hurt you to read these postings again and again. And for your sake read them slowly, and meditate on each thought and scripture. There is so much scripture and scriptural truths to be found in each teaching, and the Bible says the Word is like a spiritual stream that never runs dry, from the Lord. The teachings in “Answers In The Word” are from God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Sometimes I will read 10 or 20 teachings again myself, and I’m so amazed how the Lord gives us these messages by His Spirit. They are Streams that Never Run Dry. I challenge anyone to show me anything in any of these teachings that are false and not Scriptural. In fact if you can, please do so, because  I only want the truth to be taught. If you don’t have all these basic classes down solid, in your understanding, you should go over and over them until you do. When  I was a new Christian, I was taught these classes over, and over,and over again, until I had them ingrained in my heart , mind, and spirit, and I would teach many others the same way, and I am still trying to do the same thing today.” And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (II Timothy 2:2). I’m talking about the basic classes, such as Salvation, The Holy Spirit, Faith and Healing, Living For Jesus, Prayer, and Hearing From God, Bible Knowledge, and Bible Prophecy. If you don’t have these down really good in your own heart, and mind, and understanding, how can you be an effective witness for Jesus, of the full counsel of God, and have your own personal foundation of Faith to build your spiritual house, on the solid rock of the Word of God? “ For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. “(Acts 20:27). All these basic classes are for your solid foundation. All the rest is to help you build up your Spiritual house from the foundation. You don’t put the windows and the chimney, and roof on before you have your foundation complete.“As new born babes desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”(II Peter 2:2).“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.”(Matthew 7:24-29). I can’t even understand for the life of me,why anyone would not want to be a strong Christian in Faith for their own personal benefit , if for nothing else, and have a good strong foundation to build your house on.There is a terrible storm coming, and it is now on the horizon. Get your house ready now while you still can.

PERSECUTION

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” (ll Timothy 3:12). There you have it, you can’t get much clearer than that, this verse is a definite promise from the Lord. Also this verse means if you’re not living Godly in Christ Jesus you can expect to not get much opposition from the devil and his demons. As soon as you start living for the Lord, and telling others about Jesus, you can expect all Hell to break loose! As long as you are hiding down in the bottom of the trenches you don’t have to worry to much about catching much flack from the enemy, but boy howdy, let me tell you, when you climb out of that trench and start attacking the enemy, he brings out his big guns on you and tries everything he can to stop you, or slow you down.“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:” (1 Peter 4:12). We shouldn’t be so surprised when persecution comes, because the Bible promises that it will come, when we are serving the Lord. The devil himself, will probably not attack you, but he will send one of his underlings. He has a chain of command,  kind of like the way Jesus does with his Angels, like Micheal the Arch Angel and Gabriel, two of his top General Angels, and so on down the chain of command. The devil tries to counterfeit and copy the things of God.The devil and his top demons are reserved for attacking the big dangers, and people who are the most threat to his dark kingdom, like people who are big soul winners.“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:  But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.”(Luke 22:31,32). So if you are suffering persecution, Your in very good company. Jesus said, “Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.”(John 15:20). Jesus also said, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”(Matthew 5:10-12). Most of the persecution that I have received so far has been from so called Christian Church people. We do have some controversial teachings, and as soon as I find out that someone is already a Christian I try to nicely let them be on their way and try to find somebody who doesn’t know the Lord and is lost, and looking for the truth.“But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;” (Titus 3:9,10). There is someone now that I had great hopes for, but when I found out that he was stuck in his own, old bottle false doctrine teachings, and could not admit that he was wrong because of pride, and a lack of knowledge of the Word, so now I have to treat him as a sick weak sheep, and love him from afar, and comfort the feeble minded and pray and hope that he will come around to the truth, and accomplish what I believe the Lord had in-store for him. Jesus didn’t take everyone into his inner circle of most trusted and dedicated disciples, or even part of the twelve, or even part of the seventy. He knew that special honor wasn’t for everybody, because they just weren’t that willing and dedicated, and hungry for the truth. “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”(Matthew 10:16), and “ Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.  Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.” (Matthew 5:25,26). Remember Jesus gave us this warning, “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” (Luke 6:26). And Paul said; “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” (Galatians 4:16). The Lord also tells us, “But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” ( Matthew 12:48-50).  I can hardly get my own children and grand children to even read answersintheword.com. The devil keeps them so occupied with Worldy pursues. I think if my Dad would have taken the time everyday to send me a teaching that would greatly help me I would surely at least read it. When we send these messages out to America we only get a handful of people that will read and comment, but when we send them out to the World we get thousands of people who read and comment, especially India and other Asian countries. Please pray for this ministry we are under heavy attack from the enemy. Pray for wisdom and how to handle this type of people. It is your duty to stay alive as long as possible to preach the Gospel and win souls.

FAITHFULNESS

Faithfulness is very important to The Lord. God rewards his children according to their faithfulness. Whatever you are doing, be faithful for the Lord, if it is your job, or taking care of children, or your ministry that the Lord has given you, be faithful to do a faithful good job. If you want to ride on a big white horse following Jesus out of Heaven, and be in his army of special elite forces to take over the world, then just be faithful.“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”(Revelation 17:14). Not all the saved get to do this, but the faithful. Faithful people are people who are full of faith, and if you want to have more faith so you can be more faithful, just get more into the Word. “So then Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17).When you see Jesus, do you want him to say unto you? “Well done good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”(Matthew 25:23).If these verses don’t inspire you and me to want to be faithful then I don’t know what will.“Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they will dwell with me.”(Psalm 101:6a). “Moreover it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.”(I Corinthians 4:2). “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.  If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?  And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?”(Luke 16:10-12). “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing, Verily I say unto you, that he shall make him ruler over all his goods.”(Matthew 24:45-47) “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men who shall be able to teach others also.” (II Timothy 2:2).”Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1Corinthians 15:58). “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”(Revelation 2:10b).

WHO IS YOUR KING AND WHERE IS YOUR KINGDOM ?

This world is not our home. We’re just passing through. The Lord wants us to remember that he is our King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and we belong to his kingdom forever! Jesus’s kingdom is not a physical country yet, but it will be when Jesus comes back to rule and reign for 1000 years upon the earth. See our class on Revelation Chapter 21.“Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”(Colossians 3:2). Sure, were supposed to stand up for things that are of God, and right, and true, and vote, and let our voices be heard, but ultimately in this world and in this country, and every country people get what they want, and deserve. Wicked people get wicked rulers. Someday we each will have to stand before the Lord and give account for ourselves. Jesus said, “What is that to thee Follow thou me.”(John 21:22b).“The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you”.(Luke 17:20b,21). “Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”(John 18:36,37).Beloved the Lord is saying to us who are unhappy about the events taking place in this country and in this world “See that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”(Matthew 24:6b). Lord help us to let these events in this world make us to see more clearly about where we stand as Christians living in this world temporarily. Stand up for Jesus ye soldiers of the cross. Lift high his royal banner it must not suffer loss ! If you don’t stand for something ,you will fall for anything. Do you know what your church or study group stands for on the issues of Eternal Salvation, the Holy Spirit, Witnessing, Faith and Healing, Pre- or Post Tribulation Rapture? If you don’t know where you stand on these issues, then you need to make up your  mind. You can study about all of these issues in this web site, www.answersintheword.com They are covered quite extensively, and laid out for you on a sliver platter. If you haven’t already dived into these truths, that God has so freely given you, then I can’t understand why not? “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.” ( Revelation 3:15,16). “ Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” (II Timothy 4:2-4). Beloved don’t let these verses be said of you!

THE HEAVENLY VISION

The Bible tells us to stay true to the heavenly vision, but what does that mean? Well, God’s Word tells us, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18 a).You have to have a vision, a reason for living, a goal, something to strive for. Otherwise without a vision you are just like an astronaut who’s tether line has broken and he is adrift in space aimlessly floating into oblivion.You have got to find that certain something that motivates you and gets you going and out of bed and on track. For some people it is money and the pursuit of material gain. The Constitution talks about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and it guarantees us of that right, but it doesn’t guarantee you will find it.”Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”(Matthew 22:37-39). Beloved any thing that you are pursuing besides this great commandment is just a waste of time and energy and will come to naught. Jesus told us ,”Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” (Matthew 6:19,20). All the things of this life will surely pass and only what is done for Christ shall last.”the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.”(Matthew 13:45,46 ). Have you found that goodly pearl yet? Have you sold all you have to buy it? If you have, you have made a very wise choice, and investment. “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”(Philippians 3:13,14). Have you found the high calling of God in Christ Jesus for your life? He is no fool, who gives what he can not keep, to gain what he can not loose.

REDEEMING THE TIME

Only one life ( in this body), ‘Twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last. Watch out for the quicksand time wasting traps from the devil. One of the enemies wiles is to wait awhile. “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is yet day; the night cometh, when no man can work.” (JOHN 9:4.) “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”(EPHESIANS 5:15,16). “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”(PSALMS 90:12). “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep; and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”(ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8). If the devil can’t stop you he will try and delay you. Alexander The Great was asked how he conquered the world so fast; his reply was “by not delaying”. Each morning puts a man on trial, each evening passes judgment. The past cannot be changed, but the future is in your power. The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop. At late or early hour now is the only time you own. Live, love, toil with a will. Place no faith in time, for the clock may soon be still. When we work, work like mad, when we play, play like mad and don’t mix the two. If we are doing anything but putting God first and saving souls… we are wasting time. This is your time, your brief chance to make a difference to reach as many of your generation as possible. Do what you can with what you got. “whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14). As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.”For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; to such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.”(Psalm 103:15-18). If we only realized how short our time is and how much depends on what we do with it.

WE NEED THE LORD !

“But the path of the just is as the shinning light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. “ ( Proverbs 4: 18). Beloved the future of this world does not look very bright and promising, but for the believer it’s going to get better and better, because we are getting closer to the time when Jesus comes back to rule the world in peace, and love, with no more war, and no more devil, and his demons around for 1,000 years. (See our class on Revelations 21). ” The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” ( II Peter 3:9).” we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” ( Acts 14: 22b). Trials, troubles, suffering, and adversity can bring out the best in a Christian, because it drives us closer to the Lord.” And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” ( Daniel 11: 35). So the sooner it gets worse in this world, the sooner it will get better for the believer.  Why do you think God made Adam and Eve with a free will, knowing the future, and what they would do, and all of us ever since? God knew we all would sin and come short of his Glory. ( Romans 3:23). The Lord wanted us to learn that we needed him, and his love and that we can’t make it without him.“I am the vine ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”(John 15:5).” Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” ( Zechariah 4:6b). ” Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.” (Psalm 105:4). “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

BE CLEAN

“Now ye are clean through the words that I have Spoken unto you.” (John 15:3 ). Jesus wants our spirits to be clean,clean from sin, and clean from false doctrines,and clean from every evil work, King David prayed,“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence;and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” (Psalm 51:10-12 ).It feels so good to be clean and right with God. It’s kind of like taking a shower after you have been out working all day in the yard and you’ve gotten all dirty and sweaty, and you come in and take a nice cool refreshing shower. It’s kind of like doing the dishes, they get dirty every day and need to be cleaned and washed and ready for the masters use in the near future. That is why so many people are walking around all discouraged and unhappy, because they are not clean. They are covered with the filth and dirt of this world, and need to get clean. “Blessed is he whose  transgression is forgiven,whose sin is covered.Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity,and in whose spirit there is no guile.When I kept silence,my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me:my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.I acknowledged my sin unto thee,and mine iniquity have I not hid.I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord;and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found:surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.Thou art my hiding place;thou shalt preserve me from trouble;thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.”(Psalm 32: 1-7).So if you want to be a vessel fit for the Masters use then get clean. How do we do that ? By getting into the Word and through prayer and asking the Lord to forgive us of your daily sins and shortcomings, and give you a clean slate and heart with him. After all, that is what matters most is your relationship with Jesus. The devil and his demons are always going to try and condemn you but the Bible says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1). You see, that is the beauty of living in the Spirit and in Heaven, your past sins and mistakes are washed away and are remembered no more by God or others who walk in his Spirit.”and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. “(Hebrews 10:17). In fact God says, “He will turn again,he will have compassion upon us;he will subdue our iniquities;and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea”(Micah 7:19).” but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1John 1:7).So get clean daily,by the Blood of Jesus and have Communion often like Jesus told us to do. In fact it is the only ceremony that he commanded us to keep.
Say this prayer if you want  to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
