Can you get saved again?

Thank God that he gives us Eternal security and not Eternal insecurity. Jesus said “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out.” ( John 6:37).There you have it from the Lord himself. He said he will in no way cast you out once you have come to Jesus and accepted him as your Savior. Once he is in your heart you are “sealed unto the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:30 ). “If we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.” (Hebrews 10:26). In other words you can’t get saved again. It’s like putting Jesus back on the cross if you say you lost your salvation, and “put him to an open shame,” (Hebrews 6:6b). Jesus Christ died once, not again and again. It’s a very serious thing to doubt your salvation or think you lost your salvation. It’s like saying, The sacrifice that Jesus made for you on the cross wasn’t good enough, if you have to keep yourself saved. Then why did you need to get saved in the first place if you have to keep getting saved over and over again and your own good works can keep you saved ? I would have to ask Jesus to come back into my heart many times every day if that were true, that I could loose my salvation. You might as well hide out in some monastery somewhere way off in the mountains, and try and keep yourself saved by your own good works, and that wouldn’t even work. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities like the wind have taken us away.” (Isaiah 64:6). “For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8,& 9). “work out your own salvation, with fear and trembling.” (Philippians 2:12b ).This verse is one of the favorite verses used by people who preach that you can loose your salvation, but they leave off the very next verse which says, “For it is God that worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:13 ). “If I justify myself, my own mouth shall condemn me; If I say, I am perfect, it will also prove me perverse.”(Job 9:20).You don’t have to worry about going to hell, once you are saved. Remember it’s not your works that ‘save you, but you do have to work for your rewards. You can’t keep yourself saved anymore than you can save yourself in the first place. “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;”.(Hebrews 6: 4-6a). It is impossible to be saved twice because you can never loose your salvation once you are saved ! “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”(Hebrews 13:5).There are a lot of wonderful truths that you can learn from these teachings, but this message is perhaps one of the most important of all !

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

The Blood of Jesus Christ (video & text) Part 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4dyPK8wVdg

“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”  (Acts 20: 28). Jesus paid the price for our sins with his own blood. ” For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” ( Matthew 26: 28). ” Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;” (Romans 3: 25). “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: ” (I Peter 1: 19) . In the Old Testament the sacrifice of the lamb and the sprinkling of blood on the altar was symbolic of the blood of Jesus Christ. The blood on the door post that kept the angel of death away was also symbolic of the blood of Jesus Christ. “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, ” (Revelation I: 5). Only faith in the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away our sins. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cIeanseth us from all sin.” (I John 1: 7).“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”(John 6:53-56,63).Have communion often. It is the only ceremony that JESUS COMMANDED us to keep.
Amen.

Where Did Jesus Go? ( video & text)

The Bible says that when Jesus’s body was in the tomb that his spirit went and “preached to the spirits in prison.” (I Peter 3:18-19). Also Jesus himself said; “For as Jo’-nas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall  the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” (Matthew 12:40). Why did Jesus go down to hell to preach to people there if they couldn’t get out?  There are different levels of Hell, Hades, Sheol, and Gehenna, the lake of fire in the center of the earth. Jesus went to even the worst, Gehenna. Did you know that in Psalm 136 it says 26 times“The mercy of the Lord endures forever” ? “The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”(II Peter 3:9). Many preachers say there is no hope for people in Hell, and that once you die and are not saved you are doomed forever to hell. Well, did you know that some of those verses about eternity actually come from the Hebrew word “Olam”meaning distant future or distant past, but are translated into English to mean forever.? Also in The Greek the word “Con “ means a time period. This word was also translated into English as  “Forever”. So it doesn’t necessarily mean that hell and peoples confinement there is forever. A better translation would be, for a time period. So those three days that Jesus’ body lay in the tomb his spirit went to hell to give those people there another chance to get out by believing in him and accepting him as their Saviour, and they resurrected with Jesus and the old Prophets, when Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and the old Prophets were seen walking the streets of Jerusalem until they went to Heaven as Jesus did. After they resurrected from Paradise which is a place in the earth where the old prophets and saints went when they died.  SEE: our class on “PARADISE ! WHAT IS IT, AND WHERE IS IT?” “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”( John 11:25,26). So people who have died and gone to hell can have another chance even though they may have to wait there awhile. What a shocking revelation of truth! You mean to tell me that all these Churches that teach that there is no chance for the unsaved who die and go to hell, that they are teaching false doctrine?  YES !!! “Oh Praise God for his mercy and Love !!!

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

Some Jewels from the Word

Did you know that the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament was originally given to Moses by God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in Hebrew, and he wrote it down for us in Hebrew. Also did you know that Jesus is the first and the beginning of Gods creation?(Revelation 3:14). Did you know that when you add “im”(in Hebrew) on to the word God it makes it plural? (Elohim). So in the first chapter  where it says God created everything it is actually saying Gods, meaning God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit made everything together. This proves that the Trinity, our Heavenly Father, and Mother (The Holy Spirit), and the Son Jesus Christ are behind the scenes watching over us and seeing what we are going to do, after they created us.  “And God said let us make man in our image, after our likeness:” (Genesis 1:26a).“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them.”(Genesis 1:27).So there you have it, part of the Trinity is female. This is obviously referring to the Holy Spirit. I hope this revelation of truth is not too shocking for you. Remember it is not necessary that you accept this truth to be saved. Your salvation only comes from believing in Jesus Christ that he is the Son of God, and that he died for your sins and rose from the dead. So if you want to believe that there are three men up there running everything, well then that’s up to you. To me its a lot more comforting to know we have a heavenly Father, the Son Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Mother, the Holy Spirit watching over us. Jesus even called the Holy Spirit our Comforter.(John 15:26). For more in depth information on this subject, see our class on the Holy Spirit.

Amen

KNOWING THIS MAKES IT WORTH IT ALL (video & text)

Thank the Lord that we don’t have to work our way to Heaven, and that our salvation is a free gift from God. “For by Grace are ye saved through faith;and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works lest any man should boast.”(Ephesians 2:8,9).Millions of believers if not billions are under this false teaching worrying if they died would their good works out weigh their bad works so that they might have a chance to go to Heaven and not hell! What a bondage of fear.”And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”(Hebrews 2:14). You don’t have to live in fear of death like so many do. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”(John 8:32). Just knowing this makes it more than worth it all. We just need to work on our relationship with Jesus, and lay up treasures in Heaven by working on getting souls saved. Amen? We can never make a sacrifice compared to what Jesus has done for us. You can’t out give God. He gave his only begotten Son for you and me. Friends will fail you. Family will fail you. All, and everything can and will fail, But Jesus never will fail you or forsake you. “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” ( Hebrews 13:5b).“teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” ( Matthew 28:20).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

Holy Spirit Part 1 (video&text))

  1. John 7: 37-39 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said , out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
  2. Matthew 12: 31-32 “ Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither  in this world, neither in the world to come.” In the light of all the other verses which  teach us that we can not loose our salvation, this verse can only mean that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is rejection of Jesus Christ, because the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses from ALL sins. ( I John 1:7).  “Also the Holy Spirit leads people to Jesus but does not forgive sins.
  3. Acts 2: 1-5 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.” Pray for the gift of tongues. People can receive the gift of tongues when they get filled with the Holy Ghost. ( Luke 11:9-13)So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[ a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?  If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

  4. I John 5: 7 “ For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, ( Jesus is the Word:John 1:14) and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” The Holy Ghost which is also the Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity or the Holy Family of God.
  5. John 14: 26 “ But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
  6. John 16: 7-11 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”
  7. Joel 2: 28-31 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.”As things get worse God will pour out more of his Spirit upon his children to help us until Jesus comes and plucks us off the face of the earth.( Daniel 11:33,34) “And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.” God will give you grace and power for the hour, when you need it. A little help from the Holy Spirit is alot of help.( 1 Corinthians 10:13)“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
  8. Acts 1: 8 “ But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea’-a, and in Sa-ma’-ri-a, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” One of the main reasons the Holy Spirit was poured out is to give people power to witness about Jesus.
  9. Romans 5: 5 “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
  10. Matthew 3:16 “ And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up  straightway out of the water: and. Lo,the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.” The Holy Spirit is also sometimes like a gentle dove that can easily be shewed away if we don’t want to listen or yield.
  11. Acts 5: 32 “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” The more we obey God the more of the Holy Ghost we get.
  12. Luke 1: 35 “ And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God..” The Holy Ghost possessed Mary and God himself begat his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ came from Heaven at this time. We are adopted sons and daughters by receiving Jesus Christ as our savor.

Amen.

Holy Spirit Part 2 (video&text)

13.  Genesis 1: 26,27 “ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”God and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, were talking and they said; Let US make male & female ( Adam & Eve) after OUR likeness, male & female. This verse shows us that there is a male personality and a female personality in the Trinity or the Holy Family, consisting of God the Father , the Holy Spirit the Mother, and the Son Jesus Christ. In Hebrew the word “RUAH” means spirit and was translated into English as the word spirit, and it refers to feminine, and the word Spirit in Greek is “PNEUMA”which can mean either male or female. When the King James Bible was translated from Greek to English in 1611 it was during a time when blasphemers and heretics were burned at the stake. The Scholars  who translated the Bible were apparently afraid of saying that the Holy Spirit was feminine so they used the word “he” when referring to the Holy Spirit, instead of saying she as is clearly brought out in Hebrew. Also when Jesus was speaking in Aramaic ( the common language of his day) he used a pronoun ( PARACLETE) that meant feminine when referring to the Holy Spirit. If it is to much for you to understand and grasp this concept, that the Holy Spirit is feminine then don’t worry too much about it because it doesn’t have anything to do with your salvation, all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. Every place in the Bible where it refers to the Holy Spirit as “he,”a better translation would be”she”. If you prefer to believe that there are 3 guys up there running everything then that is up to you. However to me it makes a whole lot more sense to believe that there is a Father, a Son, and a Mother, the Trinity running things.

14.  Mark 1:8 “ I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.” When you get saved, it’s like filling up a glass of water to the top, and when you get baptized or filled with the Holy Ghost it’s like pouring water into a full glass and it over flows. When you get saved you get a measure of the  Holy Spirit, but when you get baptized in the Holy Ghost you over flow with the Holy Spirit on to others.

15. John 20:22 “ And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:”

16. Titus 3:5 “ Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”You can loose the anointing of the Holy Ghost. King David prayed; “Take not thy Holy Spirit from me.”(Psalm 51:11b). You can also get it back and be renewed and regenerated by the Holy Ghost according to where your heart is at, and your obedience or disobedience. You can’t loose your salvation or Jesus, but you can loose, and regain, and renew the anointing of the Holy Ghost.

17. Acts 2:38 “ Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”  The Holy Ghost is an extra gift you get after your saved.

18. Galatians 5:22,23 “ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”  God’s only law is love when we are yielded to his Spirit. Beloved we need to pray for these gifts of the Spirit.

19. II Peter 1:21 “ For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of Man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

20. I Corinthians 6:19 “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

21. Matthew 3:11 “ I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose  shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.” Do you have problems or does someone you know have problems? Maybe they just need to be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost? Or maybe you and  they just need more of the Holy Spirit. I know I do. I can never get enough of the Holy Spirit !!!

22. Luke 11:13 “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your Children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” Just ask for the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus and God will give it to you.

23. Acts 19:2 “ He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.”Some people say that you have to have the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues to be saved, but that’s not true. Here in this verse it clearly shows that some saved believers had not even heard of the Holy Ghost yet.

24. Acts 8: 17 “ Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.”

Amen.

THE NAMES OF GOD AND JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT ( part 2)

JEHOVAH means I am the one who is the self existent one, who never changes, and who’s promises never fail. “And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord; And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.”  (Exodus 6: 2,3).These names of God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit can many times refer to all three of them in the Trinity. JEHOVAH-RAPHA  means the Lord who heals. Jesus showed us God’s healing power, both spiritually and physically. ” Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye are healed.” ( I Peter 2:24).“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” ( Isaiah 53: 5,6). YHWH means “I AM”. “Jesus said unto them,Verily verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was I am.” ( John 8:58). Remember Jesus was the first of all God’s creation, even before God made the Holy Spirit, he made his Son. “These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.” ( Revelation 3: 14b).This shows us how important Jesus is to God. “The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.” ( John 3:35). ” And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things which please him.” ( John 8 : 29). Jesus left the halls of Heaven to trudge the dusty roads of Galilee for you and me, and was born of a virgin and was laid in a manger. ” Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” ( Hebrews 4: 14,15). YHWH pronounced YAH-way occurs almost seven thousand times in the scriptures and is translated into “LORD” in English. It became common practice for the Jews to say “LORD(Adonal, the plural form of Lord which includes the Father, the Son,and the Holy Ghost) instead of saying the name YHWH which was consider too sacred to be mentioned. JEHOVAH-ROHI means the Lord is my shepherd. ” I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” ( John 10: 11). Jesus is the ultimate manifestation of God and his love. If you want to know what God is like just read and study the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible about the life of Jesus Christ, and what he said and did. THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL . Jesus is the Holy One of Israel.” Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, ( Jesus Christ) and his Maker, ( GOD the FATHER) Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” ( Isaiah 45:11).

Amen.

Be Refreshed and Renewed ( video & text)

Can a person be born again if they have already been born again? NO, sorry the answer is no! As much as you might like to or want to you can only be born again once and it is forever. In other words ,once  saved always saved. You can renew your self and refresh yourself in the Lord. It’s like washing the dishes. The Lord wants to clean us every day so we can be fit for the masters use. Sometimes like the dishes, we need to be washed and cleaned two or three times a day. “Not by works of  righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us .by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost” (Titus 3:5).You can be a new creature in Christ Jesus every day. It’s like being saved and born again anew everyday by simply praying to Jesus to create a new clean heart and spirit in you everyday. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10). “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold ,all things are become new.”(2 Corinthians 5:17). “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26). You can’t help being you, and I can’t help being me,but we can all try to be more like Jesus.”It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion’s fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”(Lamentations 3:22&23). Even though you can’t be saved again, you can renew your relationship with Jesus. He said: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”(Hebrews 13:5). “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”(1 John 3:9). Let me try to explain this verse as best I can. How can we not commit sin if we are born of God? Because God only looks on our hearts to see if we have been cleansed by faith in the blood of his Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ. (1 John 1:7).The word sin means missing the mark. We will still sin everyday, and unfortunately do things or say things that displease God. We are rewarded by our works not saved by them.“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”  (Ephesians 2:8&9). After being saved and born again, any unconfessed and unforgiven sin, we will still have to answer for. That is why we need to take time listening to the Lord everyday. He will show you things you may have done or said that were not pleasing to him, and that we need to ask forgiveness for, and try to do better. However as King David said: “Mine iniquities are more than the hairs of my head.”(Psalm 40:12). “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6). So we don’t need to get into a big self righteous works trip, but try to strike a balance or happy medium. It’s like the lady said; ” Lord I thank you that I have not been unloving or unkind or done anything to displease you or offend anybody today, but, I’m about to get out of bed so Lord please help me today.”

Amen.
