HOW TO BE BLESSED

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matthew 5:3-12).
Blessed is everyone that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. ( Psalm 128:1).
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. ( James 1:12).
Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. (John 20:29)
BLESSED IS the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor setteth in the seat of the scornful.( Psalm 1:1).
BLESSED IS he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.( Psalm 41:1).

I will bless the Lord at all times his praise shall continually be in my mouth”. (Psalms 34:1)

How can we bless the Lord? Jesus said, And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. (John 34:1). We can even make God and Jesus and The Holy Spirit so happy that they will sing. So is it with our Godly Parents , they are happy when their children do good and are obedient and thankful. I know from my own experiences that I don’t have peace and joy when I am not doing right or in the Spirit and pleasing the Lord. Remember the way to have JOY is Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself last. This is a wonderful way to spell JOY. Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen

YOUR EXCEEDING AND GREAT REWARD

“I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward”.( Genesis 15:1b)You know that the most important thing that you have, your most prized possession is your relationship with God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and this all comes through Jesus. He is the door, and it seems that every time you turn around the enemy is there trying to slam that door shut smack dab in your face, and destroy it. He’s tried everything that’s got a name, all the wealth I want and worldly fame. If I could, still I wouldn’t take nothing for my journey now.” And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”‘(Galatians 6:9) Some day we will actually see Jesus, and one glimpse of his dear face all sorrow shall erase.So greatly run the race till we see Christ.”Again,the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:Who,when he had found one pearl of a great price, went and sold all that he had, and he bought it.”(Matthew 13:45,46).It will be more than worth it all just to see Jesus. Lifes trials will seem so small when we see Christ. Will you dance in his presence or to your knees will you fall? I think I will fall to my face.Remember Jesus is there for you and he wants you to be happy and that your joy maybe full.So cast all your cares upon him because he cares for you.”And be kind one to another,tenderhearted ,forgiving one another,even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.(Ephesians 4:32)Jesus loves you and cares very much about all that you are going thru so turn to him for he is greater than all your problems and he will help you.He is waiting with open arms for you.He says “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden ,and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).Faith Will See You Through.

SAMPLE NOT A SERMON

I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day;
I’d rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way.
The eye is a better pupil, more willing than the ear;
Fine counsel is confusing, but example is always clear,
And the best of all the preachers are the men who live their creeds,
For to see a good put in action is what everybody needs.
I can soon learn how to do it if you will let me see it done;
I can watch your hand in action, but your tongue too fast may run.
And the lectures you deliver may be very wise and true,
But I’d rather get my lesson by observing what you do.
For I may misunderstand you and the high advice you give,
But there is no misunderstanding how you act and how you live.
When I see a deed of kindness, I am eager to be kind.
When a weaker brother stumbles, and a strong man stands behind.
Just to see if he can help him, then the wish grows strong in me
To become as big and thoughtful as I know that friend to be.
And all travelers can witness that the best of guides today
Is not the one who tells them, but the one who shows the way.
One good man teaches many; men believe what they behold;
One deed of kindness noted is worth forty that are told.
Who stands with men of honor learns to hold his honor dear,
For right living speaks a language which to everyone is clear.
Though an able speaker charms me with his eloquence, I say,
I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day.

BACKSLIDERS

Dear loved ones .This is not going to be a very happy sweet little tickle your ears fuzzy duckling story.I am giving you this warning now before you read on.You MIGHT NOT want to read this. It is in the Bible. If you think you don’t need this message,than maybe you don’t, or maybe you do. But God put it in his Word, and I think we all need this warning. Some day we are all going to have to stand before the Lord and give account for what we have done in this life and any unrepented sins we will have to give account for. “Some will be raised to everlasting life ,and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”(DanieI 12 :2b). If you have ever asked Jesus in your heart or had a speck of faith in him as big as a mustard seed, which is one of, if not the smallest seed then you are saved and will be going to Heaven. Do you want to trade your eternal rewards for what this world and the devil has to offer you? Or are you going to be like Esau who sold his birthright for a bowl of pottage soup? ( Genesis 25;28-34). God is always watching you. You can’t hide from him or get away from him even if you want too.“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” (Psalm 139:7). ” If I ascend up into Heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.” (Psalm 139:8). Have you made your bed in Hell? What is your God ? It’s what you spend most of your time doing or thinking about. Is it the pursuit of material things, or computer games, or whatever things the devil has deceived you into chasing after ?There is even a bank named Chase.”Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.” (Psalm 50:22). “As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.” ( Proverbs 26:11). “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of who a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entaingled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomt again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.” ( II Peter 2:19-22). ” But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the Lord.” (Jeremiah 12:17). “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”(Psalm 9: 17). These verses can also be applied to individuals as well as whole nations.God’s wheel of judgment grinds exceedingly slow but exceedingly fine! A good healthy fear of God is a good thing ..”And fear not them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.” (Matthew 10: 28) “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction ..”( Proverbs 1:7 ). If we are loving him we don’t need to fear him, but if we are not, we had better watch out. “Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.” (Psalm 103: 13). So are you going to get a crown when you die and go to Heaven, or a broom and mop? It’s up to you, the Lord is not going to force you to love him and serve him. He wants cheerful willing followers who want to have some rewards in Heaven. Jesus will forgive you and take you back 70 X 7 times. He said, “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and he that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”(John 6:37). God said “Turn,O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: “ (Jeremiah 3:14a) God said he is married unto the backslider and that he is a jealous God and he will have no other Gods before him.( Exodus 20:3). ” Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” ( Hebrews 10:38).” And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” ( Luke 9:62).  Was Jesus trying to tell us that no one is worthy for the Kingdom of God, but only by his grace and his love and his mercy? The Bible says, ” And they all forsook him and fled.” ( Mark 14:50). Hasn’t everyone been a prodigal son, and a backslider at some time or another that has known the Lord for any length of time ? ” All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” ( Isaiah 53:6).“0 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee” how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, but ye would not! “ (Matthew 23:37).There are some benifits to backsliding. You can come to know the Lord in a different way. Just like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden after they sinned and came to know God’s mercy and love and forgiveness after having everything handed to them on a sliver platter. Experience is a better teacher, but often a bitter teacher. God loves his children enough to spank them.” FOR WHOM THE LORD LOVETH HE CHASTENETH, AND SCOURGETH EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVETH. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.” ( Hebrews 12: 6-8). Oh, won’t you return and come back to Jesus today? He loves you and is waiting for you with open arms ..

THE MISSING DAY

Did you know there was a day missing in time? A story was published about a scientists working for N.A.S.A. in Greenbelt Maryland, they were checking the position of the sun, moon, and planets out in space, and were they would be in the future. They had to know this because they need to calculate this information when they send up satellites and space craft. They ran computer measurements back and forth over the century’s and discovered that a day was missing in elapsed time. A Christian man on the team remembered from studying his Bible in (Joshua Chapter 10:8,12,13,14) it says, “And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee. Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Am’-or-ites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gide-on; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Aj’-a-lon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Ja’sher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.” There were 23 hours and 20 minutes missing at the time of Joshua. Notice it says in the scripture the sun hasted not to go down about a whole day. There were still 40 minutes  unaccounted for to make up a full missing 24 hour day. The Christian man also recalled in the book of (II Kings 20:9,11) where it says “ And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.” Hezekiah; the King of Israel was visited on his death bed by the Prophet Isaiah who told him he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign and Isaiah told him do you want the sun dial to go forward ten degrees or backward ten degrees? Hezekiah asked for the dial to go backward ten degrees, and the Lord made it happen. This accounted for another 40 minutes( in the time of Hezekiah & Isaiah) which made up a whole day that was missing. WOW, what an amazing truth from the Bible !!! This proves again along with so many other fulfilled prophecies that the Bible is the truth, the Word Of Our Living God ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Amen

CARS IN THE BIBLE

Did you know that the Bible predicted cars in the Old Testament over 2600 years ago?  “The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.” ( Nahum 2:3,4). If this is not talking about cars I don’t know what else it could be. The Lord gave Nahum a vision of the future, and he descibed it as best as he could. The Bible is truly an amazing book.

Amen.

Are You Waiting To Get Ready?

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man,no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” (Matthew 24:36).Jesus said, no one knows when he will come back except God. We do know however that there are certain signs to watch for. Many people have given predictions as to when the Lord will come back. The signs that we can be sure of are;

 1.) The confirming of the Covenant by the Anti- Christ which will start the last seven years, (Daniel 9:27). This will have something to do with the Jews in Jerusalem rebuilding the temple, and starting their daily sacrifices.

2.) The Abomination of Desolation. When you see this standing in the Temple there will be only 1,260 days left before Jesus comes back and Raptures the saved Believers up to be with him in Heaven, while the wrath of God is poured out upon the earth. ( see the classes on Daniel & Revelation and Matthew 24) I wonder if I will really change in a lot of ways when I see the Covenant confirmed and the abomination of Desolation and know that there is only a short time left? Will you? Some of the things of this world won’t seem so important then right? Are you getting ready? Lord help us, we should be living like we only have a short time now because there is no guarantee of tomorrow or that any of us will even make it to that time, “whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”(James 4:14).Lord help us to make the most out of each day for you Jesus.Amen?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved; Jesus, I want to know you and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Savior. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

How to Find God’s Will

Are you trying to make a decision about something in your life? Would you like to know God’s will about it before you make your decision? The Bible says in Psalm 37:4 “Delight thyself in the Lord and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”.God gives the very best to those that leave the choices up to him.Jesus said “But seek ye first the kingdom of God,and his  righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”(Matthew 6:33).Sometimes the Lord will let us make different choices in his will.”According to your faith be it done unto you.”(Matthew 9:29).Sometimes the Lord will allow us to make wrong choices to hopefully teach us lessons from our mistakes so we can learn from them and grow spiritually and help others not to make the same type of mistakes.In fact everyone of us effects others around us. Even Judas was an example of what not to do.The absolutely first and most important test is the Word of God. If it is not according to the scriptures in the Bible don’t do it.”To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:20).” This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”(Joshua 1:8).This is the formula to be prosperous, and successful.”But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel unto you, than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”(Galatians 1:8).The next way to know if something is God’s will for you, if you are not 100% sure, is to seek Godly counsel from people who you know, who love the Lord and are living for him.”By their fruits ye shall know them.”(Matthew 7:20). Another way to know Gods will about something is by dreams, and visions, and prophecys.”For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man precieveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.” (Job 33:14-18). Another way to know God’s will is by open and closed doors, and circumstances, and conditions.”I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it:”(Revelation 3:8a). Many times the Lord will give you a strong desire to do something, this can be a way that God has of getting you to do his will. Just make sure it goes according to his Word. Sometimes you can ask the Lord for a sign or a fleece, like in the book of Judges when Gideon asked the Lord for a sign. (Judges 6:1-40) Just remember if it is already in the Word, don’t expect the Lord to give you a sign to confirm something because he may not. This should be the last way to determine Gods will in a matter. Remember all of these ways to find Gods will need to be backed up by the WORD which is our guide, our measuring stick, our compass and map, whereby we determine all things.

Worshipping God In The Spirit

PRAISE JESUS !!!Jesus said,“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”(John 4:24).”It is the  Spirit that quickeneth the flesh profiteteth nothing,the words
that I speak unto you they are Spirit and they are life. “(John 6:63). How do we worship God in Spirit and in truth? Well,one way is to have a clean heart.King David prayed,”Create in me a clean heart,0 God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”(Psalm 51:10-12). Just pray; Dear Jesus, Give me a clean heart with you. I claim your precious blood to wash away
all my sins. Amen. “The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all our sins.”(I John 1:7b).We must be sincere from our hearts when we worship the Lord and not do it for a show for man.There needs  to be sometimes when we can get alone with the Lord and
pray and sing songs to him and raise our hands in praise to him. You could even put some good Christian music on and sing unto the Lord.Your spirit longs for that special time of worship to the Lord. And the Lord longs for that special time too. Remember if
you really want to knock the devil for a loop, just start praising the Lord !!! Did you know that when we love the Lord and do good  that we can make the Lord himself so happy that he will actually  start singing.” The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17).

Say this prayer if you want to be saved and born again: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I  believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

Daniel Chapter 9

Verse 1) IN the first year of Da-ri’-us the son of A-has-u-e’-rus’ of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chal-de’-ans; Daniel was still a prisoner of war in Babylon when the Medes took power.

Verse 2) In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish 70 years in the desolation’s of Jerusalem. Daniel was reading the prophecy of Jeremiah in Chapter 25:11 “And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon 70 years.” Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple in 586 B.C. Daniel received this prophecy in the first year of Darius the king of the Medes in 536 B.C. He realized from reading the prophecy of Jeremiah that the end of captivity for the Jews was coming soon.

Verse 3-19) And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; We have sinned and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: Neither have we hearkened unto to thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whether thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him; Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him. And he has confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem. As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his work’s which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten the renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolation’s, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for  our righteousness, but for thy great mercies. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, harken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city, and thy people are called by thy name.

Verse 20-23) And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God; Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give the skill and understanding. At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and  I am come to show thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision. The Prophet Daniel prayed a powerful heartfelt prayer to the Lord and took upon himself to represent his people Israel, and ask for God’s forgiveness for all the people of Israel. God sent Gabriel who also announced the birth of Jesus Christ to give him this following very important message and prophecy from God.

Verse 24) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. The Angel Gabriel tells Daniel that there will be 70 weeks for Daniel’s people the Jews, and Jerusalem, to end sins, make reconciliation for iniquity, establish everlasting righteousness, and seal up, ( or finish) the vision and prophecy, and to anoint Jesus the most Holy King in Israel. The word of week comes from the Hebrew word “Shabuwa”, which means a period of seven years. This Bible verse found in Genesis 29:27 makes this point clear “Fulfill her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years. And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.” So you see how a week is seven years. 70 weeks therefore means 70×7 = 490 years. So the Angel tells Daniel that the Jews have 490 years to stop sins and anoint  Jesus Christ the most Holy, as their King at Jerusalem.

Verse 25) Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall even in troublous times.  The Lord wants you to understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore it to build Jerusalem, which was given in 457 B.C. By king Artaxerxes of Persia that there would be a time period of 7 weeks = 49 years, and three score (a score is 20) and 2 weeks. This brings us to a total of 69 weeks, or 7 + 62 = 69, or 483 years which is 69 x7. In other words the Angel Gabriel tells us in his message from God that there would be a time period of 483 years from the time that commandment went forth to restore build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince. The word Messiah in Hebrew means “the anointed one”. In Greek it comes from the word “Krisos”which means “Christ”. What happened exactly 483 years after the commandment was given by king Artaxerxes of Persia to restore and rebuild Jerusalem? “Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, and the heavens were opened and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove, and landed on Jesus, and a voice came from Heaven, which said,” Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. ( Luke 3:21-23). This is when Jesus was anointed by God to begin his public ministry. Thus the Anointed One, the Messiah.  This happened in 26 A.D. .This is truly an amazing prophecy, predicting the exact year when Jesus was baptized and received his anointing to begin his public ministry as the Messiah, The Son of God, to die for our sins.

Verse 26) And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolation’s are determined. 62 weeks after the seven weeks (when the street and the wall were finished) Jesus the Messiah was crucified in 30 A.D.(after the seven and 62 weeks), but not for himself he died for us. The people of the prince that shall come (notice the small “p” on prince) is talking about the anti-Christ, in specific here it is talking about the Romans who are part of the devil’s people( the people of the prince that shall come) who have been around ever since Cain killed his brother Able. The Romans destroyed the city and the Temple in 70 A.D. When Titus the Roman General attacked Jerusalem and crucified around a million Jews, as Jesus predicted would happen. “ The end thereof shall be with a flood”, this is referring to the great amount of Roman soldiers that destroyed Jerusalem. and the floods of ungodly men me afraid”. (Psalm 18:4b). “ Unto to the end of the war desolation’s are determined.” This is talking about the spiritual war that we fight everyday against the devil and his demons. There will be great destruction’s and desolation’s until the end of the war when Jesus takes over the world.

Verse 27) And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the over spreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Here is the last seven years, or 70th week. The “he” that shall confirm the covenant is talking about the antichrist, or “the prince that shall come” in verse 26. A covenant is some sort of an agreement that will allow the Jews to rebuild their temple and re-Institute the daily sacrifices, since they don’t believe in Jesus and accept him and his forgiveness for sin. Therefore they are bound by the Old Testament laws of animal sacrifice for atonement for sins. The anti-Christ will confirm this covenant. This event will start the last seven years. In the middle of the last seven years he will take away the daily sacrifice and place the abomination of desolation, until the wrath of God is poured out upon his followers and the devil is thrown into the bottomless pit and bound and chained for 1,000 years, and the Antichrist and the false prophet are thrown into the Lake of fire. ( see our classes on Revelation chapter  7-20).
