SCRIPTURES ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT OR HOLY GHOST (Part 1)

Posted on  by admin

John 7:37-39 “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Matthew 12:31-32 “Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” In the light of all the other verses which teach us that we cannot lose our salvation, this verse can only mean that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is rejection of Jesus Christ, because the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses from ALL sins. (I John 1:7). Also the Holy Spirit leads people to Jesus but does not forgive sins.

Acts 2:1-5 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.” Pray for the gift of tongues. People can receive the gift of tongues when they get filled with the Holy Ghost. (Luke 11:9-13) “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[ a fish, will give him a snake instead?Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
I John 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, (Jesus is the Word: John 1:14) and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” The Holy Ghost which is also the Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity or the Holy Family of God.

John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

John 16:7-11 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”

Joel 2:28-31 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.”As things get worse God will pour out more of his Spirit upon his children to help us until Jesus comes and plucks us off the face of the earth. (Daniel 11:33,34) “And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.” God will give you grace and power for the hour, when you need it. A little help from the Holy Spirit is a lot of help. (I Corinthians 10:13). “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea’-a, and in Sa-ma’-ri-a, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” One of the main reasons the Holy Spirit was poured out is to give people power to witness about Jesus.

Romans 5:5 “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

Matthew 3:16 “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and. Lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.”The Holy Spirit is also sometimes like a gentle dove that can easily be shewed away if we don’t want to listen or yield.

Acts 5:32  “And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” The more we obey God the more of the Holy Ghost we get.

Luke 1:35 “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” The Holy Ghost possessed Mary and God himself begat his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ came from Heaven at this time. We are adopted sons and daughters by receiving Jesus Christ as our Saviour.

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

Can A Christian Loose The Holy Ghost?

not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;”(Titus 3:5-6). In fact the Bible says a just man falls 7 times and raises up again. “for a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again:
but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth,
and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.”(Proverbs 24:16-18).

Remember you can’t loose your Salvation, but you can loose the Holy Ghost. Jesus said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5b). John when he Baptized Jesus saw the Holy Spirit descending like a Dove, and you know the Dove can be easily shewed away by a bad attitude or cussing. Let me tell you brothers and sisters you need the Holy Ghost in your life. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”(Acts 1:8).

So don’t let the devil make you chase the Holy Ghost away. The Holy Spirit or The Holy Ghost which are one and the same, will come back to you and live in you when you repent and try, and bring forth the fruits of repentance. Which are the fruits of The Holy Spirit.“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”(Galatians 5:22-23). careful who you hang around with. “Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?”(Proverbs 6:27). “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”(Psalm 51:10-12). So have Communion often which is the only tradition that Jesus Christ commanded us to keep, and be refreshed, renewed, and regenerated everyday to meet the attackes the are surely coming your way, be prepared with the Holy Ghost Power on your side with Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins, and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen

THIS IS YOUR FUTURE

MARK 4: 1-34

1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: and it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: but when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: 12 that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables? 14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended. 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? 22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. 23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

30 And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32 but when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. 33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

WHICH OF THESE DESCRIBES YOU?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

GROWING IN THE LORD

There comes a time in all Christians lives when it is time to move on forward to the next grade. “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” (1Corintinans 13:11). You can’t stay in Kindergarten all your life. So Lord willing we will be putting all the teachings in “Answersintheword.com” into different levels of understanding, such as New Converts and Babes to Advance teachings for Leaders and teachers. As Jesus said; “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” (John 16:12). “as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”(1Peter 2:2). There is the milk of the Word for babes new born into God’s family, and there is the meat of the Word, which is to hard to chew and digest for babes. So that is why we will feed the sheep in this way. For all who wish to read the radical eye opening, shocking truths of the Word all you have to do is request and it shall be given to you after you have completed all of the milk of the Word and have grown to want more. “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalms 42:1-2). “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). You can’t live on a little teaspoon of the same food every Sunday morning. So dive into the crisp, clean, and clear waters of His Word and enjoy. “CAUTION” “Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.” “My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.” (James 3:1)

Amen.

THINK IT NOT STRANGE

The Bible tells us to not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing has happened to you. The fact is life is full of trials and tests. They can make us bitter or better. Sometimes we may be tempted to just harden our hearts or run away, but that’s not the answer. I know the answer, because I know the answer man Jesus Christ and if we run to him we can find help and grace and comfort and strength. Jesus was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. He weeps for us and the lost. God knows we should be passing a few tests and making some progress. Thank God we aren’t saved by how we handle life’s problems and our trials, and tests, but they are sent for a purpose. All things work together for good for them that know the Lord. Romans 8:28. Sometimes we may feel like we are in a boxing ring, and we keep getting hit with these knock out punches. Well, are you going to pull yourself up and get back in the fight before the bell rings? Or are you going to throw in the towel and quit? God help us and he will. The Lord wants to make a real fighter in the spirit out of you. A real solder of Christ Jesus. From reading the scriptures it not going to get any easier. The Bible tells us that in these end times things will get worse and worse, but then they are going to get better and better to. So, the more Word we have living in our hearts and the more Holy Ghost power we have the easier it will be for us. Jesus never promised us a bed of roses, but he did promise us a battle, and roses have thorns. For if I never had a problem, I’d never know my God could solve them and I’d never know what faith in God could do. Sometimes Gods idea of strength is when we’re on our knees or our face crying out to him. It seems as though there is always someone who is worse off than we are and who needs to know the Lord and his love. If we would pour ourselves into his service of helping others to know Jesus, our problems won’t seem so bad. the best cure for personal problems is the battlefront. If you feel like throwing your life away why not throw it away into Gods service and do some good for others? I was going to tell you about all my problems and ask for your prayers (which we still really need), and the Lord gave me this. Praise His Name! (Matthew 9: 36-38)

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME

You Can Lead A Horse To Water But You Can’t Make Him Drink !!
Many are called but few are chosen, because few chose to be chosen. All we can do is tell people what Jesus tells us to tell them. It’s up to each individual person to make up their own mind what they are going to do with the truth they hear, as each of us must give an account to the Lord ourselves of what we do and even say on our watch. You can’t help stubborn people who don’t want to be helped, whose minds are already made up and they don’t want to be confused with the facts. You have to go on with the Lord and where he is leading you, and don’t let people drain your energy and time. “But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; “(Titus 3:9-10). “And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.  And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:59-62).     “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”(Matthew 7:6). Sometimes real Love is to just put people into the Lord’s hands and pray for them that they will listen to the Lord, and ask the Lord to work in their lives and hearts, and go on for Jesus.

PLEASE SAY THIS PRAYER TO BE SAVED:

Dear Jesus, I want to know you and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I believe you are the Only Begotten Son of God, and you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Savior. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

MIRACLES

We live in the Fifth Dimension a very nice place to be, in The Land of Miracles, and we live the Life of Miracles. Every day we ask Jesus to do Miracles and he does. He never fails. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37). Jesus did many miracles proving he was The Son of God, The Christ, The Messiah. He gave sight to the blind. Jesus Healed all that came unto him. So, what does “He healed them all” really mean? It means literally that no sick or disabled person remained unhealed that came to him wanting to be healed. He fed the multitudes with a few fishes and loaves of bread. Jesus Christ our Savior even raised the dead. Jesus spoke; “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11:40b-44). Jesus Christ even rose from the dead after he was crucified for our sins 3 days later like he said he would. Lord help us to write these miracles down that he does for us, like they did in the Bible, lest we forget. How Many miracles in our lives’ and in the lives of others whom we pray for. Have faith for Miracles. Look for them. The Gospels in the New Testament record 42 miracles Jesus performed during His short time of ministry. However He performed many more. The apostle John writes, Jesus did many more things. “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.(John 21:25). Get more faith by getting into The Word. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17). What miracles will he do today? “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:58). Jesus said; “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22).

Amen.

Daniel Chap 9:1-23 Part 1 video&text (70 Weeks Chart)

Please check out this web link for really good information about the history leading up to the time when Daniel received this prophecy in Daniel Chapter 9 from the angel Gabriel.

Verse 1) IN the first year of Da-ri’-us the son of A-has-u-e’-rus’ of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chal-de’-ans;

Verse 2) In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish 70 years in the desolation’s of Jerusalem. Daniel was reading the prophecy of Jeremiah in Chapter 25:11 “And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon 70 years.” Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple in 586 B.C. Daniel received this prophecy in the first year of Darius the king of the Medes in 536 B.C. Daniel was a prisoner of war. He realized from reading the prophecy of Jeremiah that the end of captivity for the Jews was coming soon. The Jews went into captivity from Babylon in 586 B.C. and were released in 516 B.C. 70 years later.

Verse 3-19) And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; We have sinned and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: Neither have we hearkened unto to thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whether thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him; Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him. And he has confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem. As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his work’s which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten the renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolation’s, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for  our righteousness, but for thy great mercies. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, harken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city, and thy people are called by thy name.

Verse 20-23) And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God; Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and  I am come to show thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision. The Prophet Daniel prayed a powerful heartfelt prayer to the Lord and took upon himself to represent his people Israel, and ask for God’s forgiveness for all the people of Israel. God sent Gabriel who also announced the birth of Jesus Christ to give him this following very important message and prophecy from God.

If you can understand this class on this chapter on Daniel 9 and teach it to others, then you have opened perhaps the greatest mystery treasure in God’s Word, and proved you are a real follower of Jesus Christ! Congratulations! “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God:” (Mark 4:11a).

Daniel Chapter 9:24-27 Part 2 video&text (The Last 7 Years Chart)

Please check out this web link for really good information about the history leading up to the time when Daniel received this prophecy in Daniel Chapter 9 from the angel Gabriel, and to the time when the commandment was given to restore and re-build Jerusalem under the reign of King Artaxerxes when this amazing prophecy began.

Verse 24) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. The Angel Gabriel tells Daniel that there will be 70 weeks for Daniel’s people the Jews, and Jerusalem, to end sins, make reconciliation for iniquity, establish everlasting righteousness, and seal up, ( or finish) the vision and prophecy, and to anoint Jesus the most Holy King in Israel. The word “WEEK” comes from the Hebrew word “Shabuwa”, which means a period of seven years. This Bible verse found in Genesis 29:27 makes this point clear “Fulfill her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years. And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.” So you see how a week is seven years. 70 weeks therefore means 70×7 = 490 years. So the Angel tells Daniel that the Jews have 490 years to stop sins and anoint Jesus Christ the most Holy, as their King at Jerusalem.

Verse 25) Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall even in troublous times. The Lord wants you to understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem, which was given in 457 B.C. by king Artaxerxes of Persia that there would be a time period of 7 weeks or 49 years ( 7 X 7= 49), and three score (a score is 20, and three score is 60, or 3 X 20= 60) and two weeks. This brings us to a total of 69 weeks, or 7 + 62 = 69, or 483 years which is 69 x 7. In other words the Angel Gabriel tells us in his message from God that there would be a time period of 483 years from the time that the commandment went forth to restore and build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince. The word Messiah in Hebrew means “the anointed one”. In Greek it comes from the word “Krisos” which means “Christ”. What happened exactly 483 years after the commandment was given by king Artaxerxes of Persia to restore and rebuild Jerusalem? Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, and the heavens were opened and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove, and landed on Jesus. “Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:21-23). This is when Jesus was anointed by God to begin his public ministry. This is when he fulfilled the Prophecy of the Anointed One, the Messiah. This happened in 26 A.D. This is truly an amazing prophecy, predicting the exact year when Jesus was baptized and received his anointing to begin his public ministry as the Messiah, The Son of God, to die for our sins.

Verse 26) And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolation’s are determined. It is interesting to note that verse 25 and 26 talk about the 69 weeks broken up into two parts, seven weeks, and 62 weeks, for a total of 69 weeks. This is because it took 49 years (7 weeks, or 7 X 7, or 7 Shabuwas) to rebuild the street and the wall of Jerusalem during very troublous times when the Jews enemies were trying to destroy them. Read the Book of Nehemiah for a good understanding of the history of this time period. Jesus the Messiah was crucified in 30 A.D., after the seven and 62 weeks which ended in 26 A.D. when Jesus was baptized and anointed by God to be the Messiah to begin his public ministry and die for the sins of the world. “but not for himself” he died for us. The people of the prince that shall come (notice the small “p” on prince) is talking about the anti-christ, in specific here it is talking about the Romans who are part of the devil’s people (the people of the prince that shall come) who have been around ever since Cain killed his brother Able. The Romans destroyed the city and the Temple in 70 A.D. When Titus the Roman General attacked Jerusalem and crucified around a million Jews, as Jesus predicted would happen.  “The end thereof shall be with a flood”, this is referring to the great amount of Roman soldiers that destroyed Jerusalem, and up to the great amount of soldiers of the anit-christ during the end times “and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid”. (Psalm 18:4b). “Unto to the end of the war desolation’s are determined.” This is talking about the spiritual war that we fight everyday against the devil and his demons. There will be great destruction’s and desolation’s until the end of the war when Jesus takes over the world.

Verse 27) And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the over spreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Here is the last seven years, or 70th week. The “he” that shall confirm the covenant is talking about the anti-christ, or “the prince that shall come” in verse 26. A covenant is some sort of an agreement, or peace treaty that will allow the Jews to rebuild their temple and re-Institute the daily sacrifices, since they don’t believe in Jesus and accept him and his forgiveness for sin. Therefore they are bound by the Old Testament laws of animal sacrifice for atonement for sins. The anti-christ will confirm this covenant. This event will start the last seven years. In the middle of the last seven years he will take away the daily sacrifice and place the abomination of desolation, until the wrath of God is poured out upon his followers and the devil is thrown into the bottomless pit and bound and chained for 1,000 years, and the anti-christ and the false prophet are thrown into the Lake of Fire. Spiritual Battles

Jesus help us to be thankful for all the miracles you have done for us, and that you do every day behind the scenes that we don’t even realize.

You have Angels watching over you and even fighting spiritual battles for you.  We need to give them some help and cooperation, and make their job a little easier. The Bible says;  “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1 Peter 5:8). So pray first before you even get out of bed and put your spiritual Armour on, because today you are going into battle whether you like it or not and whether you’re ready or not. When King David went up to fight against the giant Goliath. They tried to put the heavy Armour of man on him, but it didn’t even fit right, so David put God’s Armour of faith on and won the victory and the battle: “Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians 6: 13- 18). You can’t win with a defensive warfare. Go on the attack with the Word of God and fight the Devil and his demons. That’s how Jesus fought the devil. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. “(Hebrews 4:12). So don’t listen to the devil. Give him no place. He always tries to get you discouraged and tries to get you to throw in the towel and will tell you” You aren’t good enough, and you can’t do it”. But Gods word says “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13). Lord give us the grace, and wisdom to accept the things we can not change and the courage, and strength to change the things we can change. The reason the Lord allows trials, tests, and troubles to come your way, is to make you stronger spiritually, and to help you to learn to trust in him for your help and strength, and so you can help others. No victory without a battle. No testimony without a test. No triumph without a trial. “we must through much tribulation enter the Kingdom of God.” ( Acts 14:22b). ” Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.” (1 Peter 4:12). “but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.” (Daniel 11:32b-35). “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13). “When you join the LORD’S ARMY, there must have been many things you didn’t realize. When you are faced with your first battle, you acted so darn surprised. So when you are faced with battles don’t get blue. After all, fighting battles are what soldiers are suppose to do. You know the Lord wants to make a spiritual fighter out of you, not a bed of roses but a war is what he promised you.”

Amen.

WORLD HISTORY FROM CREATION Part 15a

WORLDHISTORYFROMCREATION12a

“And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:  thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.  And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;  and he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.  And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt. And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.  And in the seven plenteous years the earth brought forth by handfuls.  And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.  And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number. And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On bare unto him.  And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.  And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction. And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended. And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.  And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.  And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.  And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.”(Genesis 41:37-57)

1961 B.C. The birth of Joseph (increase).”and she called his name Joseph; and said, The Lord shall add to me another son.”(Genesis 30:24)

1944 B.C. The birth of Benjamin (the son of the right hand).”And they journeyed from Beth-el; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.  And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.  And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin.  And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem.  And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel’s grave unto this day.” (Genesis 35:16-20)

1944 B.C. Joseph sold into slavery ( 17 years old).” Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.”(Genesis 37:28)

(1931 to 1924 B.C.) The birth of Ephraim ( that grows) and Manasses ( forgetfulness). “ And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house. And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.” ( Genesis 41:51,52)

1922 B.C. Jacob enters Egypt.” And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven years.” ( Genesis 47:28)

1905 B.C. The death of Jacob ( 147 years old).

Joseph means “increase”, and increase he did! In Joseph’s own words, “God…hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.” Genesis 45:8. And Pharaoh said of Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.” ( Genesis 41:44).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead.
