WORLD HISTORY FROM CREATION (PART 4)

3835 B.C. The birth of Cainan ( the purchaser). ” And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:” ( Genesis 5:9)

It is interesting to notice how long men lived before the Flood as compared to those after the Flood. Methuselah, (the oldest man to live) died near before the Flood, his name was a prophecy meaning, after him death would come. Abraham could have been greatly influenced by Shem and Noah. Therefore their accounts of both Creation and the Flood could have been first hand and very accurate and passed on directly to Abraham by Noah from Enos (Adams grandson). The Bible dates indicate that Abram was born before Noah died. It is difficult to know what the sky looked like after Creation; remember rainbows didn’t form until after the flood, and the earth was watered by the dew. You must have been able to see the Sun and the stars. In the early days of Creation there may not have been any great winds and erosion. It seems that it didn’t even rain. Before the Flood there was a great belt of water covering the earth which filtered out the ultra violet rays of the sun which causes man to age, this is why people live so long before the Flood. ” And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.” ( Genesis 1:7) During the Flood this belt of water fell upon the earth when the rains began, and the caverns of the deep were broken up, and God tilted the earth upon it’s axis, which causes seasons to begin. Thus we have Winter , Spring, Summer, and Fall. ” In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.” ( Genesis 7:11,12).

3925 B.C. The birth of Enos (fallen man).”And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.” ( Genesis 4:26)

The Weld Prism is the oldest outline of World History, other than the Bible, that has so far been found. It tells us that “Alulin” and “Alalmar” were the first kings after the fall of man, and that they lived in the city of Eridu. Other Babylonian records say that Eridu was built near a mysterious garden in which there grew a Sacred Tree, The Tree Of Life. Its roots were very deep and its branches reached up to Heaven. The garden was protected by guardian spirits, and no man entered there. The Great Flood covered these ancient cities, but two men from the British Museum excavated the ruins of Eridu in 1919 and found indication that Eridu was called the Original Home of Man. “And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.” ( Genesis 2:8,9) Contrary to modern teaching, the Babylonian records show that man originally believed that there was only One God, the Creator of all; and afterwards man started to believe in many gods.

4029 B.C.The murder of Abel (vapor).” And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.” ( Genesis 4:8)

4030 B.C. The birth of Seth (establisher). ” And Adam knew his wife again, and she bare a son, and called his name Seth For God , said she, appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.” ( Genesis 4:25) Cain was the elder and his name signifies (possession) in Hebrew. Abel’s name signifies ( Sorrow). ” AND ADAM knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.: ( Genesis 4:1,2) Hebrew tradition has it that it was Cain who first introduced weights and measures and also set boundaries about land, and built the first city with his son, Enoch.” And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son Enoch.” ( Genesis 4: 16,17). ” By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” (Hebrews 11:5). It is said that Adam had 33 sons and 23 daughters. ” And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:” (Genesis 5:4). Tradition has it that Seth was a very wise and virtuous man who lived in peace and taught his posterity the same. He is credited with the discovery of Astronomy and Astrology. It is said that Adam prophesied that the world would be destroyed once by water and then by fire, and so Seth and his sons recorded their discoveries about the order of the universe on two great pillars that survived the Flood.

BiblepicGod Creates Eve

Adam, in the Hebrew language means, “red”. It is believed that Adam was formed from red clay.” And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”(Genesis 2:7)

Eve signifies the “mother of all living things”. ” And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” ( Genesis 2:20-23)

Some Helpful Thoughts

Nothing short of right is right.
When in doubt don’t.”Whatsoever is not of faith is sin.(Romans 14:23b).
A wise man will learn from his own mistakes, but a wiser man will learn from the mistakes of others. It never hurts to ask for advice and counsel, and prayer.
I got up late one morning and rushed right into the day. I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me and heavier came each task.I wondered why God didn’t help me. He said, “but you didn’t ask”. I got up early this morning and paused before entering the day. I had so much to accomplish that I am glad I took time to pray.Small things and details are important. The loss of a nail caused the loss of a shoe, and the loss of a shoe caused the loss of a horse, and the loss of a horse caused the loss of a king, and the loss of a king caused the loss of a kingdom, all because of one small thing.
