O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

Do You Have Time To Pray Today?

I got up early one morning, 
And rushed right into the day; 
I had so much to accomplish, 
I didn’t have time to pray. 

Problems just tumbled about me, 
And heavier came each task. 
“Why doesn’t God help me?” I wondered. 

He answered, “You didn’t ask.” 

I tried to come into God’s presence; 
I used all my keys at the lock. 
God gently and lovingly chided, 
“Why, child, you didn’t knock.” 

I wanted to see joy and beauty, 
But the day toiled on gray and bleak. 
I wondered why God didn’t show me. 
He said, “You didn’t seek.” 

I woke up early this morning, 
And paused before entering the day. 
I had so much to accomplish 
That I had to take time to pray.

YOU CAN FIND PEACE IN THE MIDST OF A STORM

Yes, you Can find a peace that passes understanding in the midst of a storm. You can find joy when your whole world is tumbling down. Just call out to Jesus and he will immediately stretch out his hand and save you. Jesus said :“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”(Matthew 11:28-30). Have faith in God. Don’t limit the Holy One of Israel. Stand back, and see the Salvation of your God. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He will NEVER leave you or forsake you. Our God is an Awesome God. When you partner with God you had better plan big. “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:58). Can not he who parted the Red Sea take care of your problems? Jesus is greater than your problems, if you will only turn to him. He loves you and cares about all you are going through, and he longs to be close to you as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, just surrender to him and come unto Jesus. Take one day at a time, one hour at a time one minute, and second at a time. Don’t borrow from tomorrows care by worrying about tomorrow. “Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for tomorrow shall take thought of the things of it’s self, sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:34). Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him. Faith will see you through. Leave something up to the Holy Ghost. You can’t carry the world upon your shoulders, but Jesus can. Savor the moment with Jesus. Be worried about nothing, but everything by prayer. Let your requests be made known to God. Put your burden upon the alter, and don’t pick it up again. “casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

HOW TO RELAX AND REST IN THE LORD

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33). Jesus just wants you to just love him first of all. “Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:  and hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have some what against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.  But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” (Revelation 2:1-7).( Many Scholars believe that the deeds of the Nicolaitans that Jesus hated were compromising with the world, and pagan religions, and the occult, also forbidding to marry and have children, which the Bible says is a doctrine of devils.SEE: 1 Timothy 4:1-4)  Just take one day at a time. The Lord said; “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:34). There is enough to take care of today, why borrow from tomorrow’s cares. Commit tomorrow in his hands. Mark Twain said; “most of the things I worried about never happened anyway.” If you worry about something too much you can cause it to happen. “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” (Job 3:25) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” (Philippians 4:8,9). Remember, God spoke Creation into existence, “And God said; It is good.”  You can speak negative or positive things into existence just by talking about them. You can also think things into existence by dwelling on negative thoughts. Worrying is not trusting. Worrying is a form of worship, because you are giving your thoughts, time, and energy to whatever your worrying about. Worrying is the devils distraction. The Lord will give you grace for the trial at the hour of the trial, not before. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths,” (Proverbs 3:5,6). Have faith in God. Expect a miracle today! God does miracles every day. Big and small, sometimes behind the scenes, and we don’t even see or realize it. Take time with the Lord to pray and listen to him. “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying this is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21). “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.” (Psalm 37:7-11). “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10a.) Ask someone to help you watch the kids or whatever else you are so involved in, so you can take a little prayer and Word time. You will find that you won’t be so uptight, and you’ll be more relaxed and refreshed, and renewed.

Time Management

When you work, then work with all your heart, and when you play, then play with all your heart, and don’t mix the two. “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” (I Corinthians 10:31). “only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.” (I Samuel 12:24). Plan your day after prayer in the morning. Make a list. A list and a schedule are something to fall back on unless the Lord leads otherwise. A short pencil is better than a long memory. Work on your list during the day according to priorities of what is most important first. Ask the Lord to show you his priorities for you, for the day. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”(Matthew 6:33,34). “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might;”(Ecclesiastes 9:10). “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17). This life will soon be passed only what is done for Christ shall last. The Lord has given you a precious gift called TIME. You only have so much of it. Use it wisely. “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” (Romans 13:11). We will all have to give account of what we do with our time which has been given us. Only God knows how much we have left. “whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”(James 4:14). “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” (I Corinthians 4:2).Will he say to you; “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” (Matthew 25:23).

BE NOT AFRAID OF SUDDEN FEAR

Please be careful and prayerful out there. In these days of unrest and uncertainty we need to remember to pray and ask for the Lords protection, especially when we go into public places or gatherings where large amounts of people are gathered. “The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” (Psalm 34:7). Here are some other good verses to claim for Gods protection. “HE that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” (Psalm 91:1-11). “Jesus said; “yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God’s service.” (John 16:2). This prophecy is certainly being fulfilled today. There are many lost souls deceived by the devil, who think they are going to be given 70 virgins if they blow themselves, and others up, it is hard to comprehend such thinking. They have been taught this horrible stuff since they were small children. That shows you how important it is to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). Claim the blood of Jesus over yourselves when you go out there. Of course it is better if you have to go, go preaching the Gospel, and witnessing. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” (Psalm 116:15). He that touches you puts his finger in the apple of God’s eye. (Zechariah 2:8). Remember the Bible says; “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” (II Timothy 3:12,13). So the sooner things get worse lift up your heads, because your redemption draweth neigh, Jesus is coming back to straighten this world out. “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” (Luke 21: 25,26). Jesus said, “LET NOT your heart be troubled:” (John 14:1a). “Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.” (Proverbs 3:25). “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (II Timothy 1:7). “THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE; BUT PERFECT LOVE CASTETH OUT FEAR: BECAUSE FEAR HATH TORMENT.HE THAT FEARETH IS NOT MADE PERFECT IN LOVE.” (I John 4:18)

ARE YOU TEACHABLE ?

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”  (II Timothy 2:2). “Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”(Matthew 18:3b). “as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”(I Peter 2:2). If you want to learn anything you have to be teachable, which is humbling. If you think you know better and you can’t back it up with facts, and scriptures you need to be quiet, and humble, and learn, and listen so you can grow in knowledge and grow spiritually. You could miss out on a real blessing and a learning experience. Sometimes it’s better to just humbly be quiet and listen even if you think you know better, because you might actually learn something new that you didn’t even know before. “Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.” (Proverbs 17:18). Someone once told me, “I would agree with you, but then we would both be wrong.” What arrogance, especially when the person who said that was wrong and unscriptural in some of his beliefs and teachings which he could not back up with scriptures. So be TEACHABLE, be HUMBLE, be SUBMISSIVE, so you can receive a blessing. Amen? “Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.” (Hebrews 13:17). “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3). “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”(James 4:7-10).

HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD

THE LORD IS SPEAKING. ARE YOU LISTENING? THIS  MESSAGE IS GOOD EVERYDAY.

HEARING FROM THE LORD IS THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON TO LEARN, AND IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON THAT WE NEED TO TEACH TO OTHERS ESPECIALLY TO OUR CHILDREN AND NEW CHRISTIANS. We need to learn how to pray and talk to God, by praying to Jesus his Son and the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and how to listen to him most of all. You wouldn’t just go in front of a King and start asking for things and then turn around and leave. “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted, among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”(Psalm 46:10). “And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind and earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire: but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” (I Kings 19:11,12). “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21). If you have faith and you are in the spirit, when you ask the Lord for an answer you can take the first thing that comes to you. First impressions are usually from the Lord, if we are sincerely seeking him. There needs to be special times when we have desperate prayer to the Lord, when you cry out to him with your whole heart, and on your face alone with God, and not just on your knees, but with tears and sincere desperation, and even prostrate yourself before him. “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:12,13). Jesus said, to enter into your closet and pray in secret. “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet,and when thou hast shut thy door,pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. “ (Matthew 6:6).The Lord will speak to you in a still small voice,and other ways also. Sometimes he will speak to you with a dream or a vision. “For God Speaketh once,yea twice,yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream,in a vision of the night,when deep sleep falleth upon men,in slumberings upon the bed;Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from him. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.”(Job 33:14-18). “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” (Isaiah 8:20).You have to check everything out by the Word. True Revelations from God will not contradict the Bible ! ! ! The Lord did not stop speaking after he gave the Book of Revelation to John. God’s broadcasting station is always on, we just need to learn how to tune into it. The Lord is always trying to speak to us and show us new things. He even speaks to us through his creation, but don’t worship the creation more than the Creator. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” (Romans 1:20). One time God even made a  donkey to speak.  “And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.  And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab. And God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the Lord stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him. And the ass saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way. But the angel of the Lord stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side. And when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall: and he smote her again. And the angel of the Lord went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. And when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?  And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.  And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay. Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.  And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me: and the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive. And Balaam said unto the angel of the Lord, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again. And the angel of the Lord said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.”(Numbers 22:20-35). The Lord spoke to me one time through a Television show. It was about a guy with my same name who had two kids which I had two at this time. He was an Armored car operator, which I was at the time. Some bad guys had kidnapped his wife & kids to get him to deliver the money to them. I saw this show when I came home from work one day, and was so amazed that the Lord went to all this trouble to speak to me through this T.V. show, that I quit my job the next morning. Shortly after that the Armored car was involved in a robbery and shoot out and one of the drivers was killed. This happened on the same route that I took everyday, and it could have been me, I’m glad I listened to the Lord. So be on the look out, and be alert and tuned into God, He wants to speak to you today. Will you make time to listen? Remember in order to hear from the Lord , you have got to get away from all the hustle and bustle and noise and get alone and get quiet and pour out your heart to him and then get quiet and listen. He will speak to you. Remember praying to Jesus is praying to God. “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (John 10:9). Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)  “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” (John 16:12). UNDERSTANDING FAITH

We are supposed to believe his Word simply because he said so! The Lord wants us to have faith in his Word and not always to have to have a sign. The Word is all the sign you need! Why does God insist that we believe in something we cannot see and cannot feel purely by Faith in his Word?  The Lord wants us to trust him just like a little child trusts his parent. It’s because the Lord loves faith. “NOW FAITH  is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).The word substance comes from the Greek word “Hupostasis,” which means the “Title Deed”. In other words if you have the Title Deed to a property you know that you own it and you can be sure it is yours even if you have never even seen it ! “Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). He loves us because we believe in him just because he said so. It’s a way of showing our love and our confidence in him. Faith really shows that we have love. It’s like a child has to trust a parent even though he doesn’t always understand why he must do this or that. He just has to do it because Daddy said so , and Daddy knows best. It’s a form of love that the child loves his parent and trusts his parents and has confidence in them and takes their word for it. And that’s the way we have to be with the Lord. We should just say to him. “Yes Sir !” And believe it and do it simply because he said so! Trust him and take him at his WORD! “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). We can know Jesus better today and be closer to him through the Holy Spirit and faith in his word then the disciples were, who lived and walked with him. IF you want to have stronger faith, get more into the Word. “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possiable to him that believeth. And staightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief” (Mark 9: 23,24). “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” (Luke 17: 5). “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believeing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls” (I Peter 1:8, 9).You can’t see faith , but you can see what faith can do. “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief” (Matthew 13:58). So if you want the Lord to do mighty works through you, then increase your faith by getting more in the Word. Don’t limit the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL. FAITH WILL SEE US THROUGH .
Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

LIVING BY FAITH

We are supposed to walk by faith and not by feelings. I don’t know of anywhere in the Bible that it says that God will give you some kind of a feeling. Although sometimes I do get a feeling from the Holy Spirit. But the Bible says to walk and live by faith. “For we walk by  faith, not by sight.” (II Corinthians 5:7 ). We need to claim the promises from his Word and walk by Faith. The Lord sometimes asks us to do something to show we have Faith. He said, “Take Ye away the stone.” (John 11:39).Then he raised Lazareth from the dead. Jesus told the blind man to go and wash  his eyes in the Pool of Siloam, “He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.” (John 9:7b).The lame beggar was told to rise and take up his bed and walk.The Bible tells  us to “confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and we will be saved.” (Romans 10:9&10). Many times the Lord requires us to do some type of action to prove that we have faith.“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” (James 2:26). Remember the story of the three men walking on a wall, feeling, faith,and fact. Feeling had an awful fall, and faith was taken back, only fact remained, and fact pulled up faith, and faith pulled up feeling, and they walked happily on the wall again. “Now the just shall live by faith; but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” (Hebrews 10:38). “And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee and thou shalt be clean.” (II Kings 5:10). “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:  for he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” (Hebrews 11:8-10). Works won’t save you, but works show that you have faith which saves you. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6). “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” ( Philippians 4:19). We have come this far by FAITH leaning on the Lord, trusting in his HOLY WORD. He has never failed me yet, and he never will. If you want more faith get more into the WORD. ” So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17). ” for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23b). ” And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:58).
