JESUS IS THE GREAT PHYSICIAN !

“Bless the Lord. 0 my soul, and forget not all his benefits; who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”(Psalm 103:2-3).The Lord made us and he can heal us. There are no exceptions, Jesus can heal anything. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”( Luke 1:37).You have got to quote the terms of the contract (The Bible)To God  (The Contract Maker) and belive his promises and don’t ever doubt in your heart, and pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, and to Jesus Christ, and it will be done. If you know the Lord then he expects you to have faith for healing, but it doesn’t hurt to ask others to pray for you too. Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:13:16).  “He sent his word and healed  them and delivered them from all their destructions.”(Psalm 107:20). When you’re sick it’s a good time to really get into the word. If your sick take some Gospills, Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. “Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything to hard for me?”(Jeremiah 32:27). “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5&6).”Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”( Psalm 34:19).  “Thus sayeth the Lord, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker. Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.”( Isaiah 45:11).This is Jesus talking, “The Holy One of Israel.” “And his Maker “, this is talking about God who made Jesus. This verse is actually Jesus & God speaking together to us. God said; we can even command him according to his word in the Name of Jesus Christ his Only Begotten Son. This is the kind of faith that pleases God !  “If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.”  (John 14:14). “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”.( Mark 9:23).“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” ( Mark 11:23). You have the greatest power of all creation standing by to help you, in the Name Of Jesus Christ. All the Atom bombs and Hydrogen Bombs in the whole world can’t change one heart, or heal one person, but faith in God’s promises, in the Name Of Jesus Christ the Only Begotten Son of God, will never fail you ! “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6). “When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Mark 2:17)

THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT

There is a beautiful true story in the Bible about a poor woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years, one day she heard about Jesus and all the miracles he was doing. She heard how he was healing all the people who were sick and came unto him, even the people who had the dreaded disease of leprosy, and the blind, and the deaf, and even raising the dead. She heard that he was coming to her town. She just had to meet him. She managed to bring herself down to the main road where he was sure to pass by. There was already a great crowd of people waiting when she got there. Suddenly someone said, ” here he comes”. By this time the crowd was so big that she was worried that she wouldn’t even be able to get near him. The disciples were all around him making a way through the crowd so Jesus could get by. Suddenly he walked near her. She still couldn’t get close to him. She said within herself. If I could just reach out and touch the hem of his garment I would be healed. She was on the ground at this time . She reached out by someones feet, (probably one of the disciples), and touched the hem of his garment. Jesus immediately stopped and said to his disciples” Who touched me”? The disciples said, the whole crowd is thronging you, and you asked who touched you? He reached down to the woman and said, “daughter be of good comfort, thy faith hath made the whole” and the woman was healed. You can read this wonderful story in the Bible, in Luke 8:40-48, and  Matthew 9:20-22. Oh, won’t you reach out by faith and touch the hem of his garment? He is passing by and wants to make you whole.

GOD’S SECRET PLACE

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.”( Psalm 91:1). Where is this secret place of the most high? Is it in the Mountains, at the beach, or maybe at a church building? I would say none of the above, but yet maybe any of the above. It could even be in a closet or a jail cell. “ But the hour cometh, and now is when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in “Spirit”, and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit;, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” ( John 4:23,24). “ Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto to the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” ( Isaiah 55:6,7). “ And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” ( Jeremiah 29:13). These verses tell us how to find God’s Secret Place. Have you found it in your heart with Jesus today?

TAKE TIME FOR PRAYER AND THE WORD

Jesus said “Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Matthew 5:6).“My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me.”(John 10:27). Do you hunger and thirst to learn God’s truths from his Word? Or is there always something keeping you away? It is the Devil’s job to keep us away from really getting into the Word and prayer. Beloved I say this unto you, out of love and concern. We need to ask ourselves are we really that sheepy or do we follow afar off from the Good Shepherd and get lost from him and get caught in the rocks and crannies and brambles where the wolves can get us? I hope you spend time with the Master praying and feasting on his Word daily. There is a story in the Bible; “Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” (Luke l0: 38-42). How about you? Have you chosen that good part that shall not be taken away? Do you sit at Jesus’s feet and learn from him the words he has to say to you? We have to make time, to take time for prayer, and God’s Word, We take time to eat shouldn’t we take time to feed our spirits every day.”Neither have I gone back from the commandments of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.”( Job 23:12).

IMPORTANT TRUTHS TO KNOW ABOUT PRAYER (part 3)

The Lord wants you to grow spiritually in faith in him, and not lean on your own understanding or someone else’s faith. But have your own faith in him and his Word. Here are some good verses that you can claim and even quote them to Jesus when you pray. “As thou hast believed , so be it done unto thee.”(Matthew 8:13). “Jesus saith unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9:23). “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”(Luke 1:37). “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”(James 1:1-6). Don’t doubt and be double minded with your prayers if you want God to answer them. “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”(Mark 11:23), Don’t doubt in your heart. “ verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”(Matthew 17:20). The purpose of this class is to help give you some basic lessons about prayer. For those who already know all of this information. I hope this will be an inspiring review. I know it is for me. Sometimes time and circumstances just wont allow you to follow all of these important points, but when you do make time for the Lord to pray, its good to remember this class and follow it as best as you can. Remember to “Pray without ceasing.” (I Thessalonians 5:17). Prayer is something you can always be doing no matter what else you are doing. Also don’t forget to listen to the Lord. “Be still and know that I am God.”( Psalm 46:10a). The Lord often speaks in a still small voice You’ve spoken your peace, let God speak his, and let him speak first. “And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire, and after the fire; a still small voice.” ( I Kings 19:12). “ And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, this is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”. ( Isaiah 30:21). It helps to get quiet and listen to hear the still small voice of God.Finally don’t forget to pray in the name of Jesus. There is wonder working power in his name. “whatsoever ye shall ask of the father in my name, he may give it you.” (John 15:16 b). “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name that will I do, that the father may be glorified in the son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:13,14 ). “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father but by me.” (John 14:6 ). “ For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” (1 Timothy 2:5). “ I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”(John 10:9). Since Jesus is the door of the Trinnity consisting of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, we can pray directly to Jesus who is our High Priest. Praying straight to Jesus is praying to God and the Holy Ghost too at the same time.

Praise and thank the Lord for all his goodness, and mercies, and blessings. “ I WILL bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”(Psalm 34:1). Instead of just jumping into prayer asking God to do this and that. We need to show some respect and honor to the King of Kings. You wouldn’t just go wondering up in front of a King and demand him to do things. How much more respect should we show to our Almighty Lord and Savior. It is good to praise the Lord, it’s like priming a pump to get the water flowing. We need to get Gods Spirit flowing. We need to be humble before the Lord. “ He hath shown thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God” (Micah 6:8). “By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.” (Proverbs 22:4).Pray for others before praying for yourself. Pray for the  Missionaries who are God’s front line soldiers on the battlefield against the devil. Pray for lost souls. “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them. Because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” ( Matthew 9:36-38). Pray for those who are in prison for the Gospels sake. “Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them;” (Hebrews 13:3a). There are many people and situations to pray for before praying for ourselves. The Lord will lead you, just ask him.Next pray for yourself and your needs. “Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.” ( Matthew 7:7). “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” ( Philippians 4:19). “Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalm 37:4). “Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.” (James 4:3). God always answers prayer. He says yes, no, or wait. Waiting on the Lord is one of the hardest lessons we all have to, and need to learn. We need to have faith when we ask the Lord for something. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6). Take a stand of FAITH on God’s promises in his word. You have got to quote the terms of the contract (The BIBLE) to the contract maker (God) ! “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27). “Thus saith the Lord, the Holy one of Israel, (JESUS) and his Maker (GOD). Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” (Isaiah 45:11). “ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5,6).

IMPORTANT TRUTHS TO KNOW ABOUT PRAYER (PART 1)

First begin with a clean heart before the Lord. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”(Psalm 51:10-12). Any unconfessed sins will hinder your connection with the Lord. “ But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:2). You don’t need to confess your sins to man, but to the Lord. If you have done something wrong against someone then you need to try and go to that person and make things right and ask for forgiveness. If they don’t hear you or forgive you, at least you have done your part, because if they don’t forgive then God won’t forgive them either. “Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.”(Matthew 5: 23,24).“I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.” (Psalm 32:5). “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16). “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13). There is a time to confess your faults to others, especially when you need prayer for something. Fervent prayer means to be sincere and even desperate. There is a time when you really need to get desperate with the Lord. Remember the most important, and valuable thing you have is your relationship with Jesus, and you need to guard it at all times, and at all costs. We need to work on our relationship with the Lord. We can’t earn salvation by our works, but we can work on our relationship with Jesus. The devils main job is to destroy your relationship with the Lord. Sometimes it’s good to just say a general prayer asking God for his forgiveness for all our sins, even the ones we are not aware of, but God is. “ mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head:” (Psalm 40:12b).

REAL FREEDOM

 Thank God for the good. Today, July 4 th, the day we celebrate our freedoms. Let us thank the Lord for all the good things we have and all our blessings and freedoms we still have. Let us all give thanks and pray for the dedicated men and women in our military who have given so much to protect us and keep us free. Most of the world wants to live here. America is still a bastion of freedom to the world even though the forces of darkness are trying everything they can to erode  and take away our freedoms. America keeps the rest of the world from falling back into chaos and the dark ages. So thank God for all the Christians here who have faith in Jesus Christ and want to do the right things. Thank God for the Christian leaders in our Government. Let us all remember them in prayers, and those who have sacrificed so much to bring us our freedoms. Most of all let us thank Jesus Christ who died for us so that we can be spiritually free forever from sin, and spiritual death, and Hell. In many countries there is no freedom to worship God as you choose. In some countries you could be imprisoned, tortured, and even killed for worshiping the Lord, or not worshiping their God. That is why our forefathers came over here to America in the first place, for religious freedom. “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). “If the Son therefore shall make you free ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8: 36). You can’t really experience freedom fully until you know Jesus Christ personally and ask him into your heart.  “THERE is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:1,2). “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” ( II Corinthians 3:17). In Old Testament  times when a slave owner would set his slave free out of love for them, the slave would many times wear a gold ring on their ear as a symbol of a love slave, which meant that even though they were free, they chose to continue serving their master out of love. One thing I can tell you, is you’ve got to be free ! Don’t let any thing, or any body, or any group , or denomination keep you from burning free in Jesus Christ! Don’t put your light under a bushel of any kind. Let your light shine and burn free for Jesus!

The Book of Revelation contains a number of Sevens. There are Seven Letters to the Seven Churches found in Chapters 1-3. There are Seven Seals and Seven Trumpets found in Chapters 4-11. There are Seven Vials found in Chapters 15 & 16.There are Seven Candle Sticks found in Revelation Chapter 1: 12 &20. There are Seven Stars in Revelation Chapter 1:16 & 20. There are Seven Angels in Revelation 1:20. There are Seven Spirits in Chapter 1:4. There is a Lamb with Seven Horns, and Seven Eyes in Chapter 5:6. There are Seven Lamps in Chapter 4:5. There are Seven Thunders in Chapter 10:3 &4. There is a Red Dragon with Seven Heads and Seven Crowns in Chapter 12:1. There is a Leopard like beast with Seven Heads in Chapter 13:1. There is a Scarlet Colored Beast with Seven heads in Chapter 17:3. There are Seven Mountains in Chapter 17:9. There are Seven Kings in Chapter 17:10. There are Seven blessed in the Book of Revelation. Blessed is he who reads this prophecy, Chapter 1:3. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord Chapter 14:3. Blessed is he that watches ( for the coming of Jesus) Chapter 16:15. Blessed are those bidden to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb Chapter 19:9. Blessed is he that hath part in the first resurrection, Chapter 20:6. Blessed is he that keeps the Words of this Book, Chapter 22:7. Blessed are they that do his commandments, in Chapter 22:14.

The number Seven is found many times throughout the Bible. The Sabbath was the Seventh Day. The Levitical system of the Old Testament was built on a cycle of Sevens. The Sabatic year was every Seventh Year. Jericho fell after Seven Priests, with Seven Trumpets, for Seven Days, marched around it’s walls and blew their Trumpets Seven times on the Seventh Day. Naaman dipped in the Jordan River Seven times, the Bible begins with Seven Days of Creation and ends with the Book of Sevens about the ultimate destiny of Creation. Seven is a favorite number of God in his Word. There are Seven Days in a Week. Seven notes in Music. Seven Colors in the Rainbow. In Daniel Chapter 9 there are 70 weeks of Seven Year time periods, or 7X70= 490 years. The Last Seven Years will start when the anti- christ confirms the Covenant.( See the class on Daniel Chapter 9). Since God uses the number Seven so often it must have some special significance. The number Seven stands for Completeness, Fullness, and Totality. One of the most important of all the Seven’s in the Bible is when Jesus said to forgive others Seven times Seventy. ( Matthew 18:21,22)

YOU CAN’T LOSE YOUR SALVATION

Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.” Never means never!

John 10:27-30 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” Not even you can take yourself out of God’s hands, and you shall never perish, even if you wanted to !

Hebrews 6:4-6 “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God a fresh, and put him to an open shame.” You can’t get saved again, it’s like crucifying Jesus Christ again. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get saved again once you’ve been saved, because you can’t loose your salvation in the first place!

Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” The East and West never meet! That is how far the Lord took our sins away!

Psalm 89:30-34  “If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; If they break my statues, and keep not my commandments; Then will I visit their transgression with a rod, and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless my loving kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that has gone out of my lips.” Even if you forsake God and His Word, he will not break his covenant, but look out, because he will spank his children to try and correct them and get them on the right path.

Ecclesiastes 3:14a “I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: ” God saved you , not you yourself, and it is forever!

Jeremiah 3:14a “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you:” God is married to the backslider.

1 John 3:9 “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” In this verse where it says “his seed remaineth in him,” The seed is the WORD (Luke 8:11b) and Jesus is the WORD.“And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us,(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14). Since Jesus remains in you once you have been saved, and he cannot sin and doesn’t sin, then this truth is what this verse is talking about. Our own spirits will still sin, and fall short of the glory of God, but Jesus in us cannot sin and doesn’t sin. I hope this explanation will help you better understand this verse. Many people get confused over this verse, and whole false doctrines have started over this verse. Many have even used this one verse to say that they don’t sin anymore once they have been saved. “If I justify myself, my own mouth shall condemn me. If I say I am perfect it will also prove me perverse.”(Job 9:20).“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (l John 1:8) If you ever have a hard time understanding a verse, just seek the Lord in prayer, and the Holy Spirit will lead you unto all truth. You can’t make a whole doctrine out of just one or two verses. You need to take all the verses to get a good and complete understanding of a subject. “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a work man that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD of truth.” (ll Timothy 2:15). “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”(Acts 17:11). Do you want to be noble in God’s eyes? Then search the scriptures daily “to see that these things be so”.  If you can show me anything in our teachings in www.answersintheword.com that is not scriptural, then we will be extremely grateful and immediately make the necessary changes. When you accept Jesus all your sins are washed away by his blood, PAST, and PRESENT. “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (I John 1:7b) .But you will still have to answer for any sins, which you have committed after you have been saved that you didn’t confess to the Lord and ask him to forgive you. That’s why Communion is an excellent time to do this, and not only just to show you are a believer but also to get your heart right with God. “I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.”(Psalms 32:5). This is why we need to have communion often, to get a clean heart with the Lord. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” (Psalms 51:10-12).  When God looks upon you he sees the blood of his son Jesus (If your saved) and not your sins, but if you don’t get right with the Lord and others that you need to get right with, then these sins you will have to give account for. “For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”(ll Corinthians 5:10).This is not talking about the Great white throne judgment, when all the unsaved are resurrected at the end of the 1,000 year reign of Christ after the Rapture, and stand before God. ( See our class on Revelations Chapter 20), but this Judgment Seat of Christ is referring to the saved when we die, and, or when we are resurrected.

Hebrews 12:5-6 “And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, my son, despise not thou the chastening of the lord, or faint when thou art rebuked of him; for whom the lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”The Lord will chasten and correct his children, but they are still his children once they are saved.

I Corinthians 3:14,15 “If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” You Can lose your rewards by backsliding,but not your salvation !

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” It is Jesus that keeps us saved and not our selves.

Ephesians 4:30 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” You can grieve the Holy Spirit by backsliding, but you still are going to be saved and go to heaven. You can’t lose your salvation! It is like a relationship between a parent and a child. When a child is doing wrong and goes astray, the parent grieves, but is still the parent of the child forever. “Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.” (Psalm 103:13).

Romans 8:38,39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Nothing can separate us from the Lord once we are saved.”

Daniel 12:2,3 “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”Your Salvation is a free gift, but you have to work for your rewards in Heaven. Those that don’t live for Jesus after being saved will be ashamed when they see him and realize the blessings they missed out on. So don’t just use Jesus as a fire escape as many do.

Hebrews 10:26,27 “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” There is no more sacrifice for sin, because once your saved your always saved you can’t be saved again! Even if you sin willfully there is still no more sacrifice for sin, because you can only be saved once, and it is forever! If this verse meant that you can’t be saved if you ever sinned willfully after you were saved, then nobody would be saved !

I Corinthians 5:5 “To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” This verse shows how a person’s spirit will be saved even if Satan is allowed to destroy their body, because of sin.

Psalm 130:3 “If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?”

Philippians 2:12b “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” This verse does not mean to work for your salvation. It does mean that we had better get our eternal salvation figured out by the scriptures for our own peace of mind, with fear and trembling because it is so serious. It is clearly brought out in the next verse that this verse does not mean that we are to work for our salvation.“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and do of his good pleasure.”(Philippians 2:13). It is God that does the work in you for salvation, not you yourself ! “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8,9).

Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” It is a very serious thing in the eyes of God to doubt your Salvation, or to say that you could lose your Salvation, because in so doing you are doubting all these verses from the Word of God which we have just gone over.

Say this prayer to be saved:Jesus, I want to know you and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.
