Revelation Chapter 1

Verse 1-3) THE REVELATION of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bear record of the word of God and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. God gave Jesus the revelation and Jesus sent his angel to give it to John. There is a blessing promised to all who read and hear these words.

Verse 4-6) John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the sevens spirits which are before his throne; and from Jesus Christ who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood. And have made us kings and priests unto God and his father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. John is writing to the seven churches which were in Asia at that time. He was not writing too different church ages, as some people teach.

Verse 7,8) Behold he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus ,which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:9-11). “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:30). When Jesus appears he will take all the saved to heaven, he will appear in the clouds.

Verse 9) I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom in patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. The Romans put John in a prison on an island called Patmos. They tried to kill him by putting him in a vat of boiling oil, but he would not boil. So they just put him in prison since they couldn’t kill him, they thought they could just keep him silenced and he couldn’t do much damage that way locked up in prison, but little did they know that Jesus was going to give him the book of Revelation which has gone on to witness to countless numbers of souls.

Verse 10,11) I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet. Saying, I am Alpha, and Omega, the first and the last: and what thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. These are specific churches which were in Asia at the time when John wrote to them which was around 90 A.D.

Verse 12-20) And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with the golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. This is Jesus Christ himself appearing to John and telling him to write down the things which he had seen, and the things which are, and the things that shall be in the future, in the book of Revelation. Revelation means to unvail or to reveal.

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

Revelation Chapter 2

Verse 1) UNTO the angel of the church of Eph’-e-sus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candelsticks; Remember from chapter one; The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candelsticks are the seven churches which were in Asia at that time. It seems as if every church had, or has it’s own angel watching over it. Jesus was holding the seven stars in his right hand ( the seven angels of the seven churches), and the seven candelsticks are the seven churches. Jesus has a message for the church at Eph’-e-sus.

Verse 2) I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: Jesus said, that they were not putting up with false teachers and false apostles, which was a good thing, because they knew the Word.Do you, or does your church put up with false teachings, or false apostles? Do you search the scriptures daily to see if these things be so, or do you just blindly follow some Pastor, and say, ” We pay him to do that , and tell us the way”? “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

Verse 3) And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. They have been working for the Lord patiently, and have not fainted, or given up.

Verse 4) Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because tho hast left thy first love. This is the main sin that any Christian can commit. We should always love the Lord first in our hearts. “Jesus said unto him, THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND.” ( Matthew 22:37).

Verse 5) Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Jesus tells them to repent and turn back to him quickly. All of these lessons that Jesus is telling to all these churches, we should each apply to ourselves.

Verse 6) But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Ni-co-la-i-tanes, which I also hate. The deeds of the Ni-co-la-i-tanes are a bit of a mystery. Some scholars attribute their deeds to abstaining from having marital relations as the Catholic Priests do today. Jesus said he hates this.”Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:” (1 Timothy 4:1-4). Jesus loves children, and wants his people to have children.How can a Priest or teacher counsel or teach anyone about raising a family, when they themselves never have had children?

Verse 7) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. You over come by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”( Revelation 12:11).

Verse 8,9) And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty,( but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. The church at Smyrna was made up of people that were poor, but Jesus tells them they are rich spiritually. The Jews persecuted the Christians. Jesus tells them they are not Jews but followers of Satan. “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”( Romans 2:28,29). If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior, then you are a spiritual Jew in the eyes of God.“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29)

Verse 10) Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Jesus promised the Christians at Smyrna a crown of life for enduring the Roman persecution.

Verse 11) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. The second death is the Great White Throne Judgment. Saved believers will not have to go through this. It is called the second death. “ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” ( Revelation 20: 11-15). If you are only born once you will die twice. If you are born twice ( or born again, John 3: 1-8) then you only have to die once, unless you live until the rapture, and then you don’t have to die at all. The unsaved dead will be resurrected at the Great White Throne Judgement and judged according to their works. There are different levels in Hell where they will be assigned. The worst being the Lake of Fire, where the devil and the Anti-Christ and the False Prophet will be there.

Verse 12-17) And to the angel of the church in Per’-ga-mos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name. And hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein An’ti-pas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Ba’-laam, who taught Ba’-lac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nic-o-la’-i-tanes, which thing I hate. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. He that hath and ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden man’-na, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Jesus is speaking to the angel, and, or the leader in the church of Per’-ga-mos, and to all the people in the church. The sharp twoedged sword is also found in Revelation 19:15 “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” (Hebrew 4:12)  “For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”  The doctrine of Ba’-lam refers to Numbers Chapters 25, and 31:16. Ba’-lam advised the Children of Israel to seek after Midianite harlots and heathen gods. Evidently there was a large following of people in Pergamos who were following the doctrine of Balam. Jesus tells the church to be overcomers and they will get to eat of the hidden manna and get a white stone with a new name written in it. We don’t know for sure what the hidden manna is or what the white stone is for but we do know this. “But as it is written, EYE HATH NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NEITHER HAVE ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN,THE THINGS WHICH GOD HATH PREPARED FOR THEM THAT LOVE HIM.” (I Corinthians 2:9). Some things we will just have to wait until we get to Heaven to fully understand.

Verse 18-24) And unto the angel of the church in Thy-a-ti’-ra write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jez’-e-bel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thy-a-ti’-ra, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. Jesus has some good things to say about this church, but he is very mad about this woman named Jez’-e-bel. Thy-a-ti’-ra was famous for it’s great temple Artemis, another name for the goddess Diana. She was introducing the same foul practices as Jez’-e-bel the devilish wife of king Ahab to the Christians at Thy-a-ti’-ra. ( I Kings Chapter 16). Jesus called her teachings the deep things of Satan.

Verse 25-27) But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON; AS THE VESSELS OF A POTTER SHALL THEY BE BROKEN TO SHIVERS: even as I received of my Father. Be faithful unto death and you will rule and reign under the King of Kings Jesus Christ.

Verse 28,29) And I will give him the morning star. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Jesus said he was the bright and morning star. ( Revelation 22:16).

Revelation Chapter 4

Verse 1) AFTER this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. John is invited to come up to heaven to get a message about the future.

Verse 2,3) And immediately I was in the spirit: and behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. John was immediately in the spirit because that is the only way a human being can survive after being called up to God’s Throne. The jasper and sardine stones are known for their clearness and brightness. In the Old Testament God told the children of Israel to make the priest’s breastplate out of twelve precious stones. The first was a sardius, and the last was a jasper.“And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row. And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond. And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst. And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings. And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes. And thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.”(Exodus 28: 17-22). These precious stones are also part of the foundation of the Heavenly City. “And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.”(Revelation 21:19,21).

Verse 4) And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. We don’t know who these twenty four elders are. Perhaps they are 24 of God’s people through out history that have lead many souls to the Lord.

Verse 5) And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Maybe these seven Spirits of God are God’s special body guard or angels.

Verse 6-8) And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beast full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beast had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. (Ezekiel 1: 4-14) is another description of God’s four beasts or God’s pets? “And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies. And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went. As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.”

Verse 9-11) And when those beast give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worshiped him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Can you imagine seeing all these wonders that John saw? Actually it is beyond my imagination. Can you imagine how God must feel after creating all of his glorious creation and many people today don’t even give him credit for it? Some of you may ask, is this God’s Throne or Jesus’s ? Well, we know that Jesus sits at the right hand of the Throne of God, and (Revelation 5:6,9) is definitely talking about Jesus.“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;” Also God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit ( The Trinity), created man and woman after their own image. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:26). Maybe this big throne is shared by God ,Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? What a beautiful picture of our Heavenly Family ruling over all creation in God’s love. One thing for sure is when you stand before the Lord’s Throne, you want to be sure you are saved!

TAKE TIME TO PRAY

If your day is hemmed with prayer it is less likely to come unraveled. Prayer moves the hand of God which moves the Mountains. Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint on his knees. The picture of strength is the picture of the sinner on his knees. Build your house upon the rock Jesus Christ and when the storms of life come it will not be washed away. “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and  the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man,which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”( Matthew 7:24-27). It is out of fashion to talk about Hell, but Hell is not out of business. The reason for so many earthquakes, and volcanoes, other than a sign of the end times, is because hell needs more room for all the people going there.“Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.”(Isaiah 5:14,& 14:9 ).“ For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” (Matthew 24:7), “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so ,Amen.” (Revelation 1:7). Aren’t you glad that you don’t have to go to Hell, and have that fear hanging over you all the time? If you have asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart, then that is one major fear that you don’t have to worry about forever ! I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day. I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me and heavier came each task. I wondered why God didn’t help me, he said,but you didn’t ask. I got up early this morning and paused before entering the day .I have so much to accomplish that I have to take time to pray.

REMEMBER THIS MEMORIAL DAY

This Memorial Day let us remember and honor all those who have sacrificed and even given their lives so that we could have the freedoms we have today. Let us also remember and honor the great Christians and fighters in the spirit who have won so many spiritual battles, and many who have sacrificed their lives to bring us the truth we have today in God’s Word. Most of all, let us give thanks and honor to Jesus Christ the greatest freedom fighter of all, who conquered death, sin, hell and the devil, to give us eternal life and freedom! Freedom is not free. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance , we need to be on guard both physically and spiritually. The battle for freedom continues on today .Ever feel like you are under heavy spiritual attack? When things aren’t going right, and you are flanked and surrounded on all sides. The Bible says, ” When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah 59: 19b). We can stand on God’s promises in his Word. (Romans 8:28). If we could see into the future, then we could understand God’s plan and see how he works things out for good, even our mistakes. Jesus always turns things around for good, even though it might seem at times like our ship is sinking. Are you going to be like John Paul Jones? When his ship was taking on water, and getting blown to bits and his arm was seriously wounded. He was asked by the attacking Captain of the British forces” Are you ready to surrender?” He yelled out of the smoke and bombardments, “Hell No! I have not yet begun to fight”, and he went on to win the battle! If you really want to knock the devil for a loop, just start praising the Lord. When the overwhelming enemy’s were surrounding, and there was fear on every side; God’s Prophet Jahaziel, told King Jehoshaphat and the Children of Israel to go out and meet them not with swords and shields, but that they would not need to fight in this battle, but to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. And they appointed singers to go out and praise the Lord while the enemy’s were attacking, then it goes on to say that the Lord smote their enemy’s. WOW!!! What a way to fight a battle! Read this amazing story for yourself in (Second Chronicles Chapter 20).When Moses raised his arms and hands in praise to the Lord, the Children of Israel would start winning the battle, but when he got tired and lowered his arms they would start loosing the battle. So he had two of his men hold up his arms until the battle was won. It takes faith to raise your arms and hands and praise the Lord in the midst of a battle. Try it and see what God can do. Remember you are in the Lord’s Army. “ Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of God, that you may be able to stand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: “ ( Ephesians 6: 13-17).“ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” ( I Peter 5:8).  The Lord wants to make a fighter out of you. Not a bed of roses ,but of  war is what he promised you ! “The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.” ( Exodus 15:3). Remember freedom can be lost or won in only a generation away, as each generation is taught to respect it and defend it.

I got up late one morning and rushed right into the day. I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me and heavier came each task.I wondered why God didn’t help me. He said, “but you didn’t ask”. I got up early this morning and paused before entering the day. I had so much to accomplish that I am glad I took time to pray.Small things and details are important.The loss of a nail caused the loss of a shoe, and the loss of a shoe caused the loss of a horse, and the loss of a horse caused the loss of a king, and the loss of a king caused the loss of a kingdom, all because of one small thing.

HOW LONG FROM THE RAPTURE UNTIL THE THOUSAND YEAR REIGN OF CHRIST STARTS?

Why are some saved Christians not looking forward to being in Heaven and seeing Jesus? The Bible says,“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” (II Corinthians 5:10 ). “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” ( Daniel 12:2&3). Now we know from the scriptures that from the time, of the Rapture, until Jesus takes over the world to rule it for 1,000 years that there will only be a time period of 75 days. See our class on Daniel Chapter 12. How could he possibly have time to see and judge all the saved Christians? There must be Billions. Perhaps the ones who have already gone on to Heaven have already appeared before Jesus Christ, and that would only leave the millions or billions going up in the Rapture, but there still wouldn’t be enough time to see everyone individually during those 75 days. Right? Remember we’ve got to have the Marriage Supper of the Lamb  and the six Vials of God’s Wrath poured out upon the earth, and the Seventh Vial which is the Battle of Armageddon during this 75 day time.Well, with God nothing shall be impossible, and remember in the spirit and for the saved, time shall be no more. Maybe it will happen somehow in the spirit where we are not bound by time. Or maybe we will all appear before Jesus and he will pass out the crowns and rewards all during the Marriage supper at a mass gathering, or maybe for some it will happen during the Millenium. I kind of think that this is the way it will be.What do you think? Well it’s interesting to think about. Isn’t it? It makes you want to get right with God and serve the Lord, and win souls, and do like Jesus said; lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, and not on the earth, where thieves break through and steal, and where moth and rust corrupts. (Matthew 6:19,20). Remember Salvation is a free gift for the asking, but your Heavenly rewards, you have to work for. There is no greater reward than seeing Jesus and hearing him say to you, ” Well done, thou good and faithful servant: enter thou into the JOY of thy Lord.” ( Matthew 25:21), and also seeing the souls that you personally won or helped win to Jesus, in heaven forever.

GOD CAN DO ANYTHING BUT FAIL

The difficult he does immediately. The impossible may or may not take a little longer. God can do anything, anything, anything, God can do anything but fail, He can save, he can heal, just believe and he will.God can do anything but fail ! So never give up, never take no for an answer, unless the Lord says no. Where there is a will there is a way, and there is nothing too hard for Jesus if you will just give him a chance. We know Lord that you can do it, and we know that you will do it if we just believe and trust in you! You will always make a way if we do it your way, if we believe and trust in you. You always turn things around for good Lord. You always are there for us to get us out of the many jams we get ourselves into. Help us not to limit you Lord, the Holy One of Israel. Just step out on the water, and keep your eyes upon Jesus and you wont start to sink beneath the waves, and if you do happen to take your eyes off of Jesus for a little while, and start to sink, just cry out to him and he will immediately stretch out his hand to save you.“All things work together for good to them that love the Lord.” (Romans 8:28). If we do all we can do, God will do the rest that we cannot do. God is an expert at the impossible.“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”(Luke 1:37). “All things are possible to those that believe.” (Mark 9:23). Got any Rivers, or Oceans you think are impassible? Got any mountains you think you can’t get over? Our God is an awesome God, and he can do what no other friend can do! God is on the Throne and prayer changes things. In Jesus Name!

HEARING THE VOICE GOD

“When the enemy shall come in like a flood ,the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” (Isaiah 59:19b). When the enemy tries to condemn you and remind you of your past mistakes and sins. Just say, “thank you Jesus for forgiving me for that one. “You can’t keep the birds from flying over your head but you can keep them from landing and making a nest in your hair! So don’t listen to the lies of the devil, but fill your heart and mind with positive faith building thoughts from His Word. “Finally my brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”(Philippians 4:11).The most important thing to learn is how to hear from the Lord, fresh everyday, and get your directions from him. You have got to spend some time alone with Jesus if you don’t want to stumble through the day.” I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.’ (Proverbs 8: 17). Begin with a clean heart. Ask the Lord to forgive you for all your sins and give you a clean heart before him “Create in me a clean heart ,0 God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” (Psalm 51: 10-12 ). “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.” (Psalm 100:4). Take time to thank and praise him. It’s like priming the pump. Take time to listen to the Lord. How would you feel if someone came to visit you, and they did all the talking and wouldn’t even let you get in one word, and just turned around and left after asking you to do a bunch of things for them? “Be still and know that I am God”. (Psalm 46:10). Show some respect and reverence. You wouldn’t come into the presence of a king and just start spouting off a bunch of stuff. God speaks in a still small voice. “And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:  and after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” (I Kings 19 :11,12). ” And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”  (Isaiah 30:21). If you really want to hear from the Lord, and you have faith, and are in the spirit when you ask the Lord for an answer, and are sincerely seeking him, you can take the first thing that comes to you.The first thing that you hear in the ears of your spirit (after you have poured out your heart to him) that will come to you will be from the Lord. He will also speak to you from his Word, or a vision or a thought, or through others, (Consider the source). Always confirm everything by the Word. God uses many different ways to speak to us. It seems like a lot of the time he speaks through a still small voice. Take time to listen to the Lord when you pray, and hear what he wants to say to you. “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found ,call ye upon him while he is near:” (Isaiah 55:6). “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me ,when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:12,13). Jesus said to get alone with God and Pray. “But thou, when thou prayest, enter in to thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” (Matthew 6:6). Sometimes the Lord will speak to you with a dream or a vision. “For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;  then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit,and his life from perishing by the sword.” (Job 33:14-18). You have to check everything out by the Word. True revelations from God will not contradict the Bible! “If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” ( Isaiah 8:20) “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8,9). The Lord is always trying to speak to us and show us new things we have to just tune into his broadcasting station. He even speaks to us through his creation, but don’t worship the creation more than the Creator. ” For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” (Romans 1:20).  The Lord even had to create a t.v. show one time for me to watch to speak to me. When I was working as an armored car operator. I came home and watched this show (Starsky and Hutch) about a guy with my same name who was an armored car driver and had a wife and two kids and was living in apartment (My exact same situation at the time). When he got home from work there was some bad guys in his apartment holding his wife and kids at gunpoint arranging a robbery, for him to turn over the money to them for release of his family. I quit the next day and a few days later the truck I was driving was held up and a gun battle took place and one of the Armored car guys was shot and one killed. Thank God I listened, and you will be too. Jesus Loves You, and wants you to be in close communication with him.There needs to be special times when we have desperate prayer to the Lord,when you cry out to him with your whole heart,and on your face alone with God,and not just on your knees,but with tears and sincere desperation,and even prostrate yourself before him. One time God even made a donkey to speak.  “And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.  And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab. And God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the Lord stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him. And the ass saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way. But the angel of the Lord stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side. And when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall: and he smote her again. And the angel of the Lord went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. And when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?  And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.  And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay. Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.  And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me: and the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive. And Balaam said unto the angel of the Lord, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again. And the angel of the Lord said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.”(Numbers 22:20-35). So be on the look out, and be alert and tuned into God, He wants to speak to you today.Will you make time to listen?

“If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me.” (John 21:22 ) These are the words that Jesus spoke to his disciples concerning John who is called the beloved, or the disciple whom Jesus loved (John 21:20). John was the longest living disciple. The Romans tried to boil him in a vat of hot boiling oil, but he wouldn’t boil, because the Lord had another special task for him to do. So the Romans whisked him off to a prison on the island of Patmos, thinking they could keep him silenced and that he couldn’t do much harm and spread the Word, but he got the Book of Revelation there which has gone on to witness to countless numbers of souls ever since 90 A.D.  The point is, concentrate on your own personal relationship with Jesus and follow him. It doesn’t matter what other people think, we need to be concerned about what Jesus thinks. “Not with eye service, as man pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;” ( Ephesians 6:6).The very fact that you are still alive proves that God is not finished with you yet, here on this earth. He has a special calling and job for you to fulfill in your life, and someday soon we will all see Jesus, and that will make it worth it all.
