“And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” (Mark 4:9a). “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” (Mark 4:11,12).The Book Of Life has always been somewhat of a mystery. We have touched on this subject in our class of Revelation chapter 20. A clear study of the scriptures will help us to have a deeper understanding, and shine more light on this subject for us. “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”(Revelation 20:12-15). First of all we need to determine the time frame of when this event takes place. In our class on Revelations Chapter 20 it clearly brings out the fact that this event takes place at the end of the 1000 year reign of Christ, and THE BATTLE OF GOG AND MAGOG, at THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT. At this time all the saved have been resurrected and raptured, and have been living with Jesus for 1000 years. This event is concerning all of the unsaved people who are resurrected and stand before God for their final judgment, which is called the second death. If your born only once, you will have to die twice. If your born twice, by being born again, then you only have to die once, and you won’t even have to die once if you lived until the rapture. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:3-8). The saved don’t have to be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment, because they have already plead guilty of their sins when they accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and their sins were blotted out of God’s Books. There are different books which are opened at this time. “and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” (Revelation 20:12b) There are different Books that the Lord uses. There is the Book of Life wherein if a persons name is not found at the Great White Throne Judgement, then they are cast into the Lake of Fire, and the other books contain a record of peoples life and their works, or things they did, whether good or bad, which they shall be judged by. Remember the Saved have already appeared before the judgement seat of Christ and their sins were forgiven because they pled guilty of their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and received their rewards, and their sins were washed away is far as the east is from the west by the blood of Jesus. “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12) “but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John1:7). Jesus said; ” Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”(Luke 10:19,20). Once you are saved, your name can not be taken out of the Book Of Life. People who totally reject Jesus, and have given themselves over to the devil, and have gone to hell and still have not repented can have their names blotted out of the Book Of Life.. “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”(Revelation 21:27). This verse is referring to the Heavenly City. The Book of Life and the “Lamb’s Book of Life” may be two different Books, or the Lamb’s Book of Life may be a record of the saved. However some things we will just have to wait on to find out totally until we get to Heaven. “And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.” (Philippians 4:3). Just make sure your name is written permanently in the Lamb’s Book Of Life, by asking Jesus to come into your heart and accepting him as your Saviour!

“And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”(Revelation 21:27). These stipulations could be talking about all of us, since we are all sinners, and “God be true and every man a liar.” ( Romans 3:4). Once you are saved however your sins are removed by Jesus Christ and faith in his Blood, “but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”(1John 1:7). “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12). Only the saved will be able to enter in through the gates, into the Heavenly City. See our class on Revelation Chapters 21& 22. This verse seems to indicate that The Lamb’s Book Of Life contains the names of all the saved. So if this is the case there is “The Book Of Life” in which a persons name can be blotted out, and there is “The Lamb’s Book Of Life” in which your name can not be blotted out. The people that teach the false doctrine that says you can loose your salvation use these verses about being judged by your works, to back up their false teaching of works to get saved and to keep yourself saved. This is why you need to study the scriptures for yourself, and make sure you have a good understanding of what God’s Word says. You do have to work for your rewards, but not for your salvation, and to keep yourself saved. See our classes on “Salvation”.
“The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.”(Revelation 17:8).See our class on Revelation Chapter 17 for more detail on this verse. This verse shows us that The Book Of Life was started at the beginning of Creation. Those that follow the anti-christ and the devil which are one and the same, will have their names blotted out of The Book Of Life, but not of The Lamb’s Book Of Life if they were saved, because you can not loose your Salvation. Apparently they didn’t get saved in the first place if their name is blotted out of The Book Of Life. However they can still be saved even after spending sometime in the Lake Of Fire. Some people are so rebellious against God, that this is what it will take for them to repent and turn to Jesus Christ. This is the doctrine of Universal Reconciliation, which states that God will not be happy and satisfied until everyone comes to know him through his Son Jesus Christ, and his Creation is restored to the way he wants it to be.This is what we believe and teach. So, The Book Of Life is a Book of everyone’s life and what they did with it. Do you think there is a Lamb’s Book Of Life, and a Book Of Life, or do you think they are one in the same? If they are one in the same, the names of the saved can not be blotted out. It must be an extremely large book, or perhaps some how in the spirit, it holds all this information. Do you think it is God’s big tablet? We will someday find out. Make sure your name is written in there permanently by asking Jesus Christ into your heart.

Is Jesus Christ God? No, He is the Only Begotten Son of God! He is also God the Son, which means God elevated him to Godly status , along with the Holy Spirit, and the three are one, in unity and spirit.“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). “Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I AM THE SON OF GOD?” (John 10:37). It is a dangerous false doctrine to teach that Jesus is God the Father, because you can’t be saved unless you believe that he is the only begotten SON of God who died and rose from the dead for your sins! “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9.10). “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”(John 3:36). Jesus cried out to God his Father when he was dying on the Cross “My God, my God why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). He was not praying to himself when he was in the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus is one with God in the Spirit, and heart, and mind. Jesus said, “I and my Father are one.” (John 10:30). Notice he did no’t say one and the same, He said ONE, meaning in unity of Spirit, Thought , Mind, and Heart ! In this sense Jesus is God. He is part of the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, the Holy Family, rulers of all creation. The Trinity are three different persons, all united together, just like a family is one family, but different persons.“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word ( Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7). Jesus is the WORD. ” And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14). ADONAL is the plural form used in the scriptures for YHWH, which is considered to sacred to be uttered. ELOHIM is the plural form of EL the name usually associated with God, in Hebrew. This is also proof of the Trinity. When the IM is found behind a word it becomes plural in the Hebrew language. The Jews are always quoting that verse in Deuteronomy 6:4 where it says; “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:” when it really means the Lord’s our God are one Lord, as it says in the original Hebrew, meaning The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost, are ONE, not one in the same, but three different persons who are ONE in spirit, heart, and mind, united together. ELSHADDAI, meaning the all sufficient one. IMMANUEL means God with us. “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14).”And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Matthew 1:21-23). Jesus is the exact ultimate representation of God’s nature. “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” ( Hebrews 1:3). “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word (JESUS) above all thy name.” (Psalm 138:2). God holds the name Jesus above all his Holy Names, because Jesus is the only way we can get to God, because that is the way that God wanted it to be. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” ( Acts 4:12).

JEHOVAH means I am the one who is the self existent one, who never changes, and who’s promises never fail. “And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord; And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.” (Exodus 6: 2,3).These names of God, and Jesus,and the Holy Spirit can many times refer to all three of them in the Trinity. JEHOVAH-RAPHA means the Lord who heals. Jesus showed us God’s healing power, both spiritually and physically. ” Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye are healed.” ( I Peter 2:24).“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” ( Isaiah 53: 5,6). YHWH means “I AM”. “Jesus said unto them,Verily verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was I am.” ( John 8:58). Remember Jesus was the first of all God’s creation, even before God made the Holy Spirit, he made his Son. “These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.” ( Revelation 3: 14b).This shows us how important Jesus is to God. “The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.” ( John 3:35). ” And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things which please him.” ( John 8 : 29). Jesus left the halls of Heaven to trudge the dusty roads of Galilee for you and me, and was born of a virgin and was laid in a manger. ” Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” ( Hebrews 4: 14,15). YHWH pronounced YAH-way occurs almost seven thousand times in the scriptures and is translated into “LORD” in English. It became common practice for the Jews to say “LORD” (Adonal, the plural form of Lord which includes the Father, the Son,and the Holy Ghost) instead of saying the name YHWH which was consider too sacred to be mentioned. JEHOVAH-ROHI means the Lord is my shepherd. ” I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” ( John 10: 11). Jesus is the ultimate manifestation of God and his love. If you want to know what God is like just read and study the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the Bible about the life of Jesus Christ, and what he said and did. THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL . Jesus is the Holy One of Israel.” Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, ( Jesus Christ) and his Maker, ( GOD the FATHER) Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.” ( Isaiah 45:11).

MESSIAH is a Hebrew word and it means “The Anointed One.” Messiah translated into Greek is “Christ”. Jesus was anointed by God in 26 A.D. to begin his public ministry and to die for the sins of everyone who will receive him as their saviour. When John Baptized him the Holy Spirit descended upon him, and God’s voice was heard. “and lo a voice from heaven,saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”(Matthew 3:17). Study our class on Daniel Chapter 9 for a detailed understanding on this so very important subject.
RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, through he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” ( John 11:25-26).“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me.”(John 14:6).
SAVIOUR Jesus is the Saviour of the world. “ for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.” (John 4:42b). “And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.” (I John 4:14).
ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). Jesus is the only natural begotten Son of God. We become adopted sons and daughters of God by receiving him in our hearts as our Saviour. “But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12). We become sons and daughters of God, when we receive Jesus Christ in our hearts.
THE BREAD OF LIFE “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.” (John 6:32-35). Jesus was born in Bethlehem which means “ the house of bread” Jesus and his words are our spiritual bread and nourishment that we need to partake of everyday for a good healthy spiritual life.” Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.” (Job 23:12).
BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR “ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” (Revelation 22:16). Jesus is the Root of David, meaning David came from him, and he became an off spring of David when he was born in the flesh from the seed of King David. David means; the beloved of God in Hebrew. Jesus Christ is the most beloved of God. . “and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17).The Brightest Star is the morning star, which is symbolic of Jesus Christ. “I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel,” (Numbers 24:17a).
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12). “ Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16). Because Jesus is in us, we are the light in this dark world. Let your light shine for Jesus, and bring others out of darkness into his wonderful light. “ARISE, SHINE; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold. The darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” (Isaiah 60:1,2).
THE LAMB OF GOD “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29). Jesus is the sacrificial Lamb of God who was crucified and died for the sins of the World.
LION OF JUDAH “And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” (Revelation 5:4-5). Jesus was from the tribe of Judah and is the Lion of Judah.The Lion is the King of Beast, symbolic of Jesus Christ.
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORD’S “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:15-16).Jesus Christ is the King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s.The sword out of his mouth is his word.“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
THE ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE ALMIGHTY “ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8) God, and Jesus, and The Holy Spirit live in the eternal now, where time does not exist.

Did you know there was a day missing in time? A story was published about a scientists working for N.A.S.A. in Greenbelt Maryland, they were checking the position of the sun, moon, and planets out in space, and were they would be in the future. They had to know this because they need to calculate this information when they send up satellites and space craft. They ran computer measurements back and forth over the century’s and discovered that a day was missing in elapsed time. A Christian man on the team remembered from studying his Bible in (Joshua Chapter 10:8,12,13,14) it says, “And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee. Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Am’-or-ites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gide-on; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Aj’-a-lon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Ja’sher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.” There were 23 hours and 20 minutes missing at the time of Joshua. Notice it says in the scripture the sun hasted not to go down about a whole day. There were still 40 minutes unaccounted for to make up a full missing 24 hour day. The Christian man also recalled in the book of (II Kings 20:9,11) where it says “ And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.” Hezekiah; the King of Israel was visited on his death bed by the Prophet Isaiah who told him he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign and Isaiah told him do you want the sun dial to go forward ten degrees or backward ten degrees? Hezekiah asked for the dial to go backward ten degrees, and the Lord made it happen. This accounted for another 40 minutes( in the time of Hezekiah & Isaiah) which made up a whole day that was missing. WOW, what an amazing truth from the Bible !!! This proves again along with so many other fulfilled prophecies that the Bible is the truth, the Word Of Our Living God ! ! ! ! ! ! !
