WHAT IS THE WORK OF GOD?

Thank the Lord that we don’t have to work our way to Heaven, and that our salvation is a free gift from God. “For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast.”(Ephesians 2:8,9).Millions of believers if not billions are under this false teaching worrying if they died would their good works out weigh their bad works so that they might have a chance to go to Heaven and not hell! What a bondage of fear. “And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”(Hebrews 2:14). You don’t have to live in fear of death like so many do. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”(John 8:32). Just knowing this makes it more than worth it all. We just need to work on our relationship with Jesus, and lay up treasures in Heaven by working on getting souls saved. Amen? We can never make a sacrifice compared to what Jesus has done for us. You can’t out give God. He gave his only begotten Son for you and me.“Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” (John 6:28-29). “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” (Romans 11:6). “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; “(Titus 3:5). You can never be good enough to be saved, and go to Heaven. Believing in Jesus saves you. The word “Believe” comes from the Greek word “Pisteuo” which means to “take in”. You just have to take Jesus into your heart, and then you will want to work to help others know him. “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”(John 9:4).

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

You are wise if you are simple. “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” (Acts 4:13).  “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” (Mark 10:15).“And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:2,3). A little child doesn’t try and analyse and complicate things. They just want to play and have fun all day and trust their parents to take care of them. That’s the way God wants us to be with him. You mean the Lord wants us to be like little children in Heaven, and play and enjoy His Creation ? Hmm, I could get into that. The Lord has made it easy for us “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30). The devil is in the details always trying to complicate things and confuse things.“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” (I Corinthians 14:33). Just take it by faith, and believe in the Bible and what the Lord said. It is much easier that way. Don’t be like the disciple Thomas who said, “except I see and put my hands into the hole in your side where the soldiers pierced you, then I will not believe.” Well there is plenty of proof that the Bible is true for those who need to have proof through fulfilled prophecy like Daniel chapter nine. I can always tell how sheepy and sincere a person is after I give them a class on Daniel 9. Do they gobble it up and search the scriptures and go over and over it until they completely understand it and start teaching it to every one who they can find who will listen to it ? If they don’t then they are not sincerely wanting the truth and aren’t going to make very good and dedicated disciples. You might as well tell them to go find a nice sleepy little lukewarm church to belong to.”And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.(John 20:26-29).” But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” ( II Corinthians 11:3).” I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” (John 16:21).”as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: “( I Peter 2:2).

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things, and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

JESUS IS MORE THAN A FRIEND

No man is an island. We all have an effect on each other. We are
supposed to be Ambassadors of the kingdom of Heaven, and
representing our King of Kings Jesus Christ! It is so important to choose wisely your friends and the people that you are associated with. They will definitely have a lasting affect on you.
“Can a man take fire into his bosom and not be burned ?”
(Proverbs 6:27). You should associate with people who love the
Lord and are well grounded in his Word and like to witness to
others about Jesus. Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.” (John 10:11-15). “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” (John 15: 14-15). “Feed the flock of God which is among you, Taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.” (1Peter 5:2-4). Jesus told Peter three times; “Lovest thou me, feed my sheep.” (John 21:17). Beloved these verses need no expanation. I’m sure that the Lord will speak to each of us through these scriptures.

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I  believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

TIME

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets”. (Revelation 10:5-7). See our class on Revelation Chapter 10 to find out when and why Time shall be no longer.
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.(John 4:24 ).God and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit (our Heavenly family), and Heavenly parents live in the Spirit World, another dimension, where time does not exist, the eternal now. The Spirit world is the real world. This temporary physical world that we live in is not the real everlasting world. It is merely an illusion, a bad dream unless you know the ones who made you and knowing why they made you, and the purpose for your existence. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:26,27 ). This world and our life here in it are only for a short time compared to eternity.” whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.(James 4:14).” As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.”( Psalms 103: 15,16). Knowing this, shouldn’t we be making the most of our time here? Shouldn’t we be thinking about our eternal life in Heaven? “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:19-21). Mans purpose is to love God, and enjoy him and his creation forever, and to help others to know him by knowing his Son Jesus. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” (1 Timothy 2:5). When we pray we should pray to Jesus. Praying to Jesus is praying to God. It is presumptuous to pray straight to God and not to go through Jesus Christ. Some people when they pray start right off self righteously, saying “Father God,” and go right strait to God and go around Jesus. Those prayers don’t get pass the roof.” Beloved we should always pray to and through Jesus when we want to seek God. Maybe if we realized more how frail we are and how much we need Jesus then we wouldn’t think we could just go straight to God in prayer and not to Jesus. Here are some good verses to help with this. “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6). “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”
(Isaiah 64:6 ). “Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.” (Job 15:15).“Without me ye can do nothing.“(John 15: 5b). “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” ( Matthew 24:35).That is the one constant truth that will never pass away. “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.” (Psalms 119:89). “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6).You won’t need a time machine you will be able to time travel in the spirit. You can even do that now in your thoughts and prayers. Jesus said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:4). Lord help us. The Lord knows that we should be making some spiritual progress in our hearts and lives and in our relationship with Jesus. Amen ? Can you take correction and learn and grow spiritually? “Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” (Psalm 119:165). Sure Jesus said, when he was teaching his disciples how to pray, ” Our Father which art in Heaven,” he knew that if he told the disciples to pray to him, that they couldn’t receive it yet. They didn’t even fully believe he was the Son of God yet, except Peter. Jesus told them “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” (John 16:12). Without Jesus we would be like the Astronaut who is lost in space and has become unattached to his space ship and is forever tumbling around with no direction or goal, or destination. “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.” ( Psalms 90:4).“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” (Colossians 4:5). Now is your time, now is your watch. Lord help us to make the most of it for Jesus by his grace and help. Lord help us to be faithful witnesses as you were. “ and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,” (Revelation 1:5). Will he say to you Well Done Thou Good and faithful servant enter into the joy of thy Lord?  “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”(Matthew 25:21).

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” (Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8)

Amen.

LITTLE THINGS

I wonder how many little Miracles, which aren’t really little at all, that the Lord does for us each and every day behind the scenes that we don’t even notice that much? Like making you take a wrong turn, and go a different route while driving, and avoid a terrible wreck, which he did for us the other night. The Bible says; Despise not the day of small things (Zechariah 4:10). Little is much if God is in it. “Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (1Corithians 1:20). Also the strong and smart, he sometimes has a hard time using, unless he can get them out of the way in their own minds, so that no flesh can glory in his presence. “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:  but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence.” (1 Corinthians 1:25-29). “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” (Acts 4:13) The devil trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees. This is Gods idea of strength. It was said of Sampson “wherein lies your strength”? (Judges 16:6).Apparently he was not a physically strong looking person in the flesh, but God gave him great physical power ( as long as he obeyed God) to kill 1,000 of the enemies of his people the Philistines at one time with the jaw bone of an ass, and he even killed more in his death after his enemies put out his eyes, than in his life, when he destroyed the Temple of Dagon. God told Jeremiah:Then said I, Ah, LORD GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.  But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.  Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.”  (Jeremiah 1: 6-10). It seems many times to be hard for people who have a lot of physical strength and wisdom, because God has to break them, and humble them so he can use them. So look for those litttle Miracles every day, and pray for them, and pray for the Lord’s protection every time you drive or get out. “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” (Psalm 34:7).The loss of a nail caused the loss of a shoe, and the loss of a shoe caused the loss of a horse, and the loss of a horse, caused the loss of a King, and the loss of a King caused the loss of a Kingdom. All because of the loss of one nail, a whole Kingdom fell. So don’t forget to take care of little details, before they turn into huge problems. Also don’t say you can’t do something that God has called you to do and let someone else get your crown and reward, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me”.(Philippians 4:13)

Say this prayer to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

YOUR MAIN PURPOSE IN LIFE

“The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.” (Proverbs 16:4). “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee:”(Jeremiah l:5a). “being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.” (Ephesians l:ll b).There is something special that you were created to accomplish, and there are many special things that you are to do.The main purpose for your life is to love your Creators. God,Jesus and the Holy spirit. “And God said, “Let us make man in our image; after our likeness: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:26a,27). YOU were created to love God and enjoy his creation and to help others do the same, and until we realize that, we are not going to have peace, and joy, and happiness, with fulfillment in our own heart. The Jews are always quoting the verse that says, “Hear, 0 Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:” (Deuteronomy 6:4), but actually it uses a plural word in the original Hebrew meaning, The Lords our God are one. Jesus said,“I and my Father are one.”  (John 10:30). He was talking about one in unity and heart with God, and Himself, and the Holy Spirit. The Trinity. Jesus was not praying to himself in the garden of Gethsemane, and Jesus said, when he died on the cross. “My God, My God ,why have you forsaken me?” (Mark 15:32b ). Because God couldn’t bear the pain to see his Son crucified so he turned his back on him for a little while when he took upon himself the sins of the whole world and died such a painful death. You have to believe that Jesus is the Son of God to be saved, and that God gave him to die for our sins. Don’t ever think for a second that God doesn’t love you after he did that for you ! Jesus said, “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”(John 15:12).“We love him because he first loved us.”(I John 4:19). “Jesus said,“THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, AND WITH ALL THY SOUL, AND WITH ALL THY MIND. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it,THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.”(Matthew 22:37-39). What makes people love, and be loving? Love is a wonderful thing. You can’t see it. It comes from God right out of the spirit world, proving that God is real ,because “God is Love and he that dwells in love dwells in God and God in him.” (I John 4:16 ).You can’t see God or Jesus, or the Holy Spirit yet, but you can sure feel the love he gives us. “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:” (1 Peter 1:8).So the next time you have feelings of love in your heart just remember where those feelings came from, God himself, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. WOW !!! Do you receive it ?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I  believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

MAKING DECISIONS

Does life sometimes seem like some kind of a big test or training school? If you answered yes you are right. We are constantly faced with choices every day that we must make decisions about. “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3). We can’t see God, but he can see us, and he knows our thoughts. Thank God he rewards us according to our actions and what we do and not according to our thoughts. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” (Jeremiah 17:9,10). Thoughts are like birds, you can’t keep them from flying over your head, but you can keep them from landing and making a nest in your hair. The Bible says, “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (II Corinthians 10:5). God lives in the spirit world. It is another dimension. In fact where God and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit live, is an “eternal now”, where time does not exist, and he wants to also live in our hearts. The Lord puts choices and tests in front of us every day to see what we will do, and to teach us lessons. He wants to see if you will pray and do things that please him, and do things the loving way. A wise man will learn from his own mistakes, but a wiser man will learn from the mistakes of others. Experience is often a better teacher but sometimes a bitter teacher. We would do better to seek out the advice of some one who has traveled the same path that we are on. Someone who has made a lot of mistakes themselves and can advise us how not to make those same mistakes’, but it seems that most of us want to learn the hard way from our own mistakes ourselves. The Lord is preparing you to take on more responsibility in the future. If you ask Jesus to come into your heart he will, and he will be with you to help you through life’s pitfalls and quicksand. He will pull you up out of the water when you begin to sink and give you another chance, time after time. Just reach out to him, and he will always be there immediately for you and help you. “Jesus immediately stretched forth his hand and caught him.” (Matthew 14:31).“Like as a father pitieth his children,so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.” (Psalm 103:13 ).

Amen.

TO OBEY GOD OR MAN?

“I counsel thee to keep the kings commandments, and that in regard of the oath of God.” (Ecclesiastes 8:2).To me this verse is saying to us to obey the laws of man, but we had better remember the oath of God or what we have pledged to God first, like preaching the Gospel, and that is where we draw the line, and don’t have to obey man, when they say to not obey God and preach the Word. “Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.” (II Timothy 4:2). This is not a suggestion. This is a Commandment ! Jesus said, “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels”. (Mark 8: 38). Some people use this as an excuse and say I shouldn’t preach the Word because the government said not to, and I have to obey them because it says so in Romans Chapter 13 verses 1 -7 which says, “LET every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resiseth the ordinances of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.”  “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (II Timothy 2:15). Don’t let the Devil trick you into using these verses as a cop out and steal your blessing, and souls. What we as Christians do is so important. “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution ..” (II Timothy 3:12).
If they arrested you for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I  believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

DON’T THROW IN THE TOWEL

There once was was a young girl who was studying to be a ballerina. She was going to a special school and taking lessons. She really wanted to become a ballerina so bad, it was the main desire of her heart and life. One day her instructor called her in to his office and told her some distressing news. He said, I am sorry to tell you this, but it is really a hard thing to make it in this business and only a small handful of people will make it, and most will drop out and look for another vocation, and I just don’t think this is for you. You just don’t seem to have what it takes, he said.Well, she was heartbroken and devastated. She went home sobbing and just gave up her dream of ever becoming a ballerina. Many years later she ran into her instructor walking down the street. She told him, you know that you so discouraged me, that I quit pursuing my dream and passion of becoming what I wanted. He replied. Oh, I tell that to all the girls, just to see who is determined to make it, because it is so hard in this business, and only those with undying, and great dedication can become a professional great ballerina. There is a lesson here for us all. Have you been sidetracked, and derailed, by something or someone just when you were picking up steam and moving ahead? Well get out and survey the damage. Get help, and do what it takes to get back on track for the Lord. There are a lot of passengers waiting at the station for you to pick them up and take them to their final destination. “Be sober,be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (I Peter 5:8). Be a fighter for Jesus ! You may loose a few battles but the war is not over ! Jesus is coming ! Don’t give up the ship, Don’t give up, even if all your ships come home with broken sails!  Don’t retreat ! Don’t hold up the sickening white flag of surrender, and leave the battlefield to the enemy. You can’t stop a person of Faith! No victory with out a battle. No triumph without a trial. No testimony with out a test. Let no man steal your crown ! Be like John Paul Jones, when his arm was severely wounded and his ship was sinking and many of his men dead, the British captain yelled out to him “Do you surrender?” He yelled back “HELL NO ! I have not yet begun to fight,” and he went on to win the battle ! “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples. The harvest truly is plenteous but the labourers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”(Matthew 9:36-38).

Amen.

OVERCOMING FEAR

Please be careful and prayerful out there. In these days of unrest and uncertainty we need to remember to pray and ask for the Lords protection, especially when we go into public places or gatherings where large amounts of people are gathered.”The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” (Psalm 34:7). Here are some other good verses to claim for Gods protection.”HE that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”(Psalm 91:1-11).Jesus said; yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will  think that he doeth God’s service.”(John 16:2).This prophecy is certainly being fulfilled today. There are many lost souls deceived by the devil, who think they are going to be given 70 virgins if they blow themselves, and others up, and it is hard to comprehend such thinking. They have been taught this horrible stuff since they were small children. That shows you how important it is to “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” ( Proverbs 22:6).Claim the blood of Jesus over yourselves when you go out there.Of course it is better if you have to go,to go preaching the Gospel, and witnessing. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”(Psalm 116:15).He that touches you puts his finger in the apple of God’s eye.( Zechariah 2:8).Remember the Bible says”But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”(II Timothy 3:13).So the sooner things get worse lift up your heads, because your redemption draweth neigh,Jesus is coming back to straighten this world out. “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”( Luke 21: 25,26). Jesus said,”LET NOT your heart be troubled:”(John 14:1a). “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”(John 14:27). “Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.”(Proverbs 3:25).”For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”( II Timothy 1:7).” THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE; BUT PERFECT LOVE CASTETH OUT FEAR: BECAUSE FEAR HATH TORMENT.HE THAT FEARETH IS NOT MADE PERFECT IN LOVE.”( I John 4:18).  A good healthy fear of the Lord is a good thing to have. That is what is wrong with this World today, the people have no fear of God as they should to keep them from evil and sin, but God’s judgements on the wicked are coming. Gods judgement  grind stone wheel moves exceeding slow sometimes, but exceedingly fine on the rebellous who will not submit to the Lord. “Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?”  “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”(Matthew 21:42,44). JESUS IS THE STONE! Better to fall on the stone than for the Stone to fall upon you. In other words let the Lord make and break you again into “a vessel fit for the Master’s use.” If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”(2 Timothy 2:21) Jesus said “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”(Matthew 19:28). “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;”(Psalm 11:10a)  If you love the Lord and are close to him you have no need to fear only respect, but do fear straying away from the Lord. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31). I am glad I have God’s Word to cling to and to help me through today and the future. The future is as bright as the promises of God. I feel sorry for those who don’t have Jesus in their lives and pray for them. They are really missing out on the love and joy and peace he freely gives. God, and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will not force themselves on anyone. Jesus said “whosoever will let him take of the water of life freely.” (Revelation 22:17).
