DO YOU CHOOSE TO BE CHOSEN ?

Jesus said; “For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:14). Why are few chosen? Because few chose to be chosen. “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, an ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” (John 15:16). If you have ever read this verse before, or if this is the first time, then you have been called and chosen by the Lord, if you chose to be chosen.”But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. “  (I Peter 2:9,10). According to this verse you are a peculiar Royal Priest, if you so chose. “These shall make war with the Lamb, an the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14). So if you want to ride out of heaven following Jesus on a big white horse and help destroy the anti christ armies at the battle of Armageddon, and take over the world with Jesus Christ. Then just be called, and chosen, and faithful. “Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.” (Isaiah 49:7). Do you chose to be chosen?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

THE PURE GOLD

“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”  (1 Peter 1:7). Living for Jesus is like gold. When gold is dug out of the earth it hast to be refined, which means putting it on a fire. They put the gold into a cast iron pot, and put a hot fire under it. When the gold melts all the dross and impurities come to the top and they are removed, leaving only the pure gold. The hotter the fire the purer the gold. So, if you are going through the fire, try to consider it a blessing in disguise, because maybe God is allowing this to happen to you to make you a better Christian for Jesus. Is someone, or something in your life like a refiner to you? Maybe you are also a refiner to them. Don’t run away from God’s refining process, or complain about it. Meet it with JOY, and consider the out come. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God,” (Hebrews 12:2). “Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, sliver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (I Corinthians 3:12-15). “And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.” (Zechariah 13:9). “And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.” ((Malachi 3:3). I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.” (Isaiah 13:12). “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” (James 1:2-4)

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

OUR ONLY HOPE AGAINST ANGER

I know my only hope is Faith in the blood of Jesus Christ !!! The Bible says; “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.”  (Romans 8:28). I know that I have a real problem with loosing my temper and seem to sometimes have no patience with people, especially babes who seem to always question things that I tell them when they ask advise of me. I think some of my poor kids have also learned this same behavior problem from me. Lord Jesus help them and help us all. Amen? And he will, if we will tell that person who we have offended that we are sorry and ask for forgiveness, and then go to Jesus and ask him for forgiveness and then move forward for the Lord by faith. The hardest three words (because of our pride) to say for many of us are, ” I was wrong, or I am sorry”. Even Jesus seemed to get upset with his disciples when he told them “O faithless and perverse generation. How long shall I suffer you?” (Matthew 17:17). “ and when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables; and said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.” (John 2:15-17).

To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones,
and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
 a time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
 a time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

There is a time of righteous anger even war. I think the war against Hitler was a righteous war. However most wars are caused by greed, and lust for power. “From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?  Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” (James 4:1-4). Paul said, “do not I burn? ” (meaning his anger). “We are men of like passions.“(Acts 14:15). Lord help us, you would think we would be learning some lessons and passing some tests and making some progress in the spirit by this time. We all just need to get closer to Jesus and be more like him. Amen? “Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost.” (Titus 3:5). “Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake hath forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:32).  “Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.” (Proverbs 13:7). “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:” (Ephesians 4:26). Moses was angered by the Children of Israel’s complaining and smote the rock twice and did not honor God, before the assembly and the congregation. Therefore, the Lord did not allow him to go into the promised land because he struck the rock twice. (Numbers 20:3-21).  In your patience possess ye your souls.”(Luke 21:19). “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”(1 Corinthians 10:11). Get things right if you want to sleep tight! Remember ANGER is only one letter away from DANGER ! Don’t be a fool keep your cool.

Amen.

Are you a Jonah?

whale-shark-swarm-yucatan-peninsula-diver_36481_600x450Some non-believers say,”How could Jonah live in the belly of a whale for three days and nights? Well my answer to their question is: I don’t know about your God, if you even have one, but my God is so big that if God wanted too, he could have made the whale live for three days and nights in Jonah’s belly!!!   God told Jonah to go and preach to the people of the great city Ninevah, and to warn them of his soon coming judgments, but Jonah didn’t want to do that, so he tried to run away and hide from God, and God prepared a great fish that swallowed him up. Finally after three days and three nights when Jonah cried out to the Lord. God made the great fish vomit up Jonah on the beach, probably near Ninevah, and he went and did God’s will and preached and warned the people and they all repented from the least to the greatest of them, and God spared them because Jonah finally did what God wanted him to do. Jesus verified the Biblical story of Jonas when he said “For as Jonas was three days, and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nin’-e-veh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.”(Matthew 12:40, 41). Jesus used this true story to show the disciples what he was going to go through. To deny the truth of the story of Jonah is to deny the Deity of Jesus Christ and his Word! “With God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37). “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27). There have been large animals even bigger than a man found in the belly of some Sperm Whales. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”(Mark 8:36-38) Has God called you and told you to do something? Are you putting it off or dragging your feet? Are you running away from God and his will in your life? Watch out, he might have a big whale or something else swallow you up. Also it is probably not a good idea to go jumping on a boat trip with any Jonah’s, or take any on your boat. “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31). Can you imagine being on the beach one day with a lot  of other people and all of a sudden this huge whale comes up to the beach and vomits out some guy on the sand and he starts preaching to everybody, Wow I bet everyone wanted to hear what he had to say. I know I would, Would you?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

SUBMISSION

Jesus was and is the ultimate example of submission to God’s will. In the garden of Gethsemane when Jesus was in desperate prayer to God, his tears became blood. He told his Heavenly Father, “If it be possible let this cup pass from me, never the less not my will but thine be done.”(Matthew 26:39). Jesus bought and paid for us, we are his property, we belong to him now, he can do whatever he wants with us.“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1) “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”(Colossians 3:3). “If any man will come after me let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me, for whosoever will find his life shall loose it, and whosoever will loose his life for my sake, the same shall find it.”(Luke 9: 23, 24). “Submit  yourselves therefore unto God. Resist the Devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7).“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.”(Hebrew 13:17).”He must increase, but I must decrease.” (John 3:30). The Lord wants volunteers not draftees. “Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.”(I Samuel 12:24).“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” (I Samuel 15:23a). God will mend a broken heart if you give him all the pieces. He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot loose. God has to break you, and melt you, and mold you again, in the hands of the potter to make you a better vessel fit for the Masters use. So you are willing to go anywhere, anytime, and be nobody to please him and help others.“Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;” ( Ephesians 5: 21-25).“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.” ( I Peter 5:5).We are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you never know when you are going to be needed. We are soul doctors. Jesus is our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and we need to give him due respect and loyalty, and allegiance out of love “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Matthew 22:37-39). “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have ever lasting life.” (John 3: 16). John 3:16 was God and Jesus’s part and 1st John 3:16 is our part.Hereby we perceive the love of God: because He laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross despising the shame , and is set down at the right hand of the Throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2).They that bare the cross shall wear the crown.

Amen.

The Valley Of Baca ( video & text)

http://youtu.be/Ct_R4oNck6g

“Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well;”(Psalm 84:6).The valley of Baca means a place of tears. There is a valley of Baca, it was a barren desert full of vipers and robbers and dangerous wild animals. It was a very hard,and desolate place. All Jewish males were required to go up to Jerusalem three times a year to worship at the temple, and many had to go through the valley of Baca to get there.Job went through this valley when satan was allowed to take everything from him, even his health,but God restored unto him it all, and even more so. Abraham went through this valley on his way to offer up his son Isaac in obedience to God. The Lord provided a ram instead as the sacrifice, a symbol of The sacrifice of Jesus Christ.Hagar and Ishmael went through this valley when Abraham sent them away. They almost died until God showed them where to find water.Moses went through this valley when he had to flee Egypt.David went through the valley fleeing from Saul, Spiritually I have been through this valley quite a number of times. How about you? Maybe you are going through the valley of Baca now? You can make it, if you find the well from God, Jesus and his Word,. The well is his Word.“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” (John 7: 38,39.“but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14).

Desert Times

There are times in our lives,The Lord may lead us through

A lifeless, barren desert,A time of testing too

But desert times can be A place of special growth,

where God can do a work, And let His healing flow

I  know that in these times, We don’t feel God is there,

We feel so very distant, And lost without His care

But God is there beside you, To bring you to a place

of cool, refreshing waters, Flowing with His grace

But for the present moment, You maybe in a drought,

Don’t give up on your faith, And don’t you start to doubt

God is always faithful ,And He will walk with you,

Through the darkest moments, He’ll be leading you.

Honesty

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUOcXFNp4iA&feature=youtu.be

It’s always better to just tell the truth. It is easier to remember, and you will feel better and sleep better at night. Jesus never told a lie. One lie leads to another. It has been said “one lie can never stand alone.” 0′ what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. It is not convicting on your conscience when we just simply tell the truthand do the right thing. In a court of law they throw out a persons whole testimony if they are caught in a lie, because they can’t believe a thing they say if they will tell just one lie, even if 99 percent of what they said is the truth. All their testimony is disregarded and they are fined , and or jailed for perjury.The Bible says in the 10 commandments. “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy brother.” (Exodus 20:16). It is the same in witnessing for Jesus. How can anybody believe a thing you say about Jesus or the Bible if they know that you don’t always  tell the truth? About the only time I think it would be ok in Gods eyes to lie is if you are in a place where preaching the Gospel is illegal and some police man knocks on your door looking for some brother or sister, and you tell him that they don’t live there anymore to save them from being arrestedand possibly tortured and killedbut if you self rightously told on them, then that would be a terrible thing to do. Actually they wouldn’t be living there anymore as soon asthey found out what happened so you wouldn’t be lying. “Recompense to no man evil for evilProvide things honest in the sight of all men.” (Romans 12:17). Beloved its much better and easier on us and our conscience to just do the right thing and tell the truth Amen?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

JUST LOVING JESUS

People are always asking me, “How are you doing?” And I was asking the Lord, what would be a good response so that I could be a witness, and it came to me to just say, “Oh just loving Jesus.” Isn’t that really what life is all about, and why we are here in the first place? The Lord made it so simple for us. It is the enemy who tries to make things so complicated and confusing. “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”(1 Corinthians 14:33).You can be loving the Lord no matter what you are doing whether cooking, cleaning ,working, or witnessing, or whatever you’re doing. “Whether therefore ye eat or drink or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”(I Corinthians 10:31). If we just keep our mind and hearts stayed on Jesus we can have perfect peace.”Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace , whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee.”(Isaiah 26:3). That’s why the Bible says to “Rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing,in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”(I Thessalonians 5:16-18). Sometimes all it takes is a small moment for a bit of refreshing from on high by stopping to pray and listen to the Lord in the midst of confusion and strife, “Be still and know that I am God.”(Psalm 46:10). Let Jesus work things out his shoulders are big and strong enough to take care of the whole world and all of the people in Heaven too. Leave something up to the Holy Spirit. Quit worrying, and trying to take every ones problems on including your own. One of my favorite verses that I use a lot is, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30). “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3). When is the last time you saw a little child running around worried about everything? About the only thing most children are concerned about is playing and having a good time. Just take life one day at a time, and one hour at a time, and just love the Lord and enjoy his creation, and help others to do the same. You are wise if you are simple. Amen?

Say this prayer if you want to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I believe you died on the cross for my sins ,and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen

ARE YOU AN OLD OR NEW TESTAMENT CHRISTIAN ?

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.”   (Romans 8:1). If we are in God’s Spirit we will not be under condemnation for our sins, because we will be rejoicing in the knowledge and faith of God’s forgiveness, through faith in the Blood of Jesus. I don’t know about you, but there is not a day that goes by that I don’t claim and plead the blood of Jesus over myself. How about you? “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made us free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:2). One thing I can tell you is that God wants you to be free. The devil is always trying to condemn us and bring us under bondage. “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.” (Romans 7:4 ).We are not under the Old Testament laws any more. We are under the new Testament law of Love and Grace, which in many ways is more strict, because everything we do must be done in love. This includes tithing. Jesus wants us to give our all to him. The 10% law of the Old Testament is a cop out used today by many. Jesus wants you to give of yourself and your time according to your faith and your sacrificial love. The Lord loves a cheerful giver. Jesus said, some are 10 fold, some are 20 fold, some are 100 fold. Are you an Old Testament Christian or a New Testament Christian? Are you under the LAW or under GOD’S GRACE ?

Say this prayer if you want  to be saved: Jesus, I want to know you, and to live forever in Heaven, I know I have made mistakes and done bad things- and I am sorry. Please forgive me. I know I don’t deserve it, but I accept your love and I accept you as my Saviour. I  believed you died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please come into my heart and life and fill me with your Holy Spirit and give me peace. Amen.

A LESSON ON LIVING FOR JESUS (video & text)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kucEp7FLgs0&feature=youtu.be

There are many different degrees of discipleship. Some are 10% some are 50%,and some are 100% followers of Jesus.Those who are the 100 percenters will surely get the greatest reward when they see Jesus.However they should never belittle or put down those who are not as dedicated as them.They should encourage the others and try and bring them up a notch or two towards their level.Jesus had the twelve disciples, and out of them there were the three he took with him up to the mountain.“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.” (Matthew 17:1-7). Why do you think he took only those three? Probably because they were more dedicated and had more faith than the others, to be able to handle this shocking revelation and hear the voice of God. Then there were the other seventy that followed him, but weren’t always as close to him. “And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.” “ And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem .And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.”(Luke 9:49-56). Apparently they had some lessons to learn. We need to be like Jesus who went about every where trying to encourage people and doing good. (Acts 10:38). Lord help us not to draw a circle and shut others out, but to draw a circle and bring others in.

Amen.
